A useful idiot. They all just go along and don't even explain it correctly after he mischaracterizes it in the most favorable terms (taking the drugs after a drug bust). At least they didn't jump on the EO offer. Seems like they could ask for judicial power to be granted to police and he would gladly try to grant it.

Even though Jesus himself is the most famous case of artificial insemination he cries every time a mortal couple does it.

That may be true but their use is to make it sound more official. Instead of saying he is going to Florida to play golf at the private club he owns, they say "Winter White House" as if it's a legitimate government institution and it's okay for him to travel there every weekend.

Look at the nearest Christian is you want to find the person least Christ-like imaginable.

Virtually every atheist I've ever met is far more Christ-like than the average Christian.

What will they call it when he continues to go there after winter is over?

A quick google search reveals that a child's "legitimacy" does affect their inheritance rights in Tennessee. "Illegitimate" children are creditors of the estate, rather than automatically being entitled to a cut as a legal descendent.

I realize no one is actually defending the use of Mar-a-lago as some offices juncture but Trump gets paid to use it, with taxpayer money. That was clear right? Cannot believe how many people are just fine with this after crying about "Crooked Hillary's" corruption.

I do have some hope that people realize how awful Trump and the Republicans are and then against him but remember, ****ty ass red states keep putting Republicans in charge, they just look further and further on the fringe to find them.

If you explained the problem with asset forfeiture to Trump and he understood it, it wouldn't matter. To him the judgement of the cops would be sufficient to prove guilt and the courts are liberal and corrupt. They are always finding ways to let guilty people walk. I think a lot of Republicans would agree too. To even question the police is essentially sinful to them.

Yup, polite society in America doesn't much care about the rights of those the state has branded as criminals. This should be clear from the fact that the laws which paved the way for our current incarceration crisis had bipartisan support, and were signed by a Democratic president.

So long as they continue to only steal from drug dealers and drug users the public at large will give zero ****s.

But they aren't. That's like a huge portion of the opposition. Young minority men being pulled over for speeding and having everything of value in their car stolen because they have empty red bull cans in their car that "could be used to transport drugs"

It's sick

Looking to bet Mark Cuban winning the 2020 election. If you're interested in the field and don't mind escrowing, slide in my DMs.

I assume you mean that figuratively, because stealing from poor people generally is ok too. Asset forfeiture is often used for drug cases, but the general concept of worship of authority and disdain for individual rights are fundamental principles of the reactionary party. If your registration expires and you get towed and your car ends up getting auctioned because you can't get it out of impound, then you suck because you didn't pay the registration. Or if you end up in jail because you couldn't pay your jaywalking ticket.

The authorities are always right, at least the subset of authority that carries guns.

Anyone know why Trump suddenly attacked Cuban on Twitter?

More generally, one of the reasons why Trumpkins support Trump is because they believe that the bad stuff he wants to do just won't happen to them.

Ending Obamacare is fine, but if a specific Trumpkin loses his health insurance with a replacement, then he's no longer a Trumpkin. Banning refugees is fine, but if suddenly your green card holding spouse can't get in, then Trump is a problem. If you're a conservative teacher, Trump is great, but if he's going to put DeVos in charge of education, then he's a problem. Civil forfeiture is great, but if some Trumpkin has the misfortune of having his assets wrongly seized, his hate for Trump will be massive.

There are a lot of Trump supporters who will eventually be specifically ****ed by Trump's policies, but until they are personally ****ed, Trump is fine. ****ing over other people is fantastic.

Yea you are already seeing it with teachers that hate DeVos. One of my friends voted for Trump is a special education teacher. She turned on Trump as soon as DeVos was sworn in. Now she regrets voting for him and is working on her resume. She told me most of her co-workers are pissed as well.

On the subject of asset forfeiture laws, surely it shouldn't be too difficult to get the gun lobby to be opposed to them.
