Think of all the illegals sucking off the social tit who are taking the jobs of millions of dead American fetuses.

Some might consider actions and decisions from the Hillary campaign >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DAPL protestors posting on Facebook. Not all "reasons you can point to that she lost" are created equal.

Then again, I blame Lena Dunham!! so who am I to throw stones

I was just pointing out the political reason it was not approved under the Obama administration.

Lena Dunham is terrible and should never speak again on politics. I have hated for years, even before she waded horribly into the political arena. Her show is trash written by someone who has had a privileged upbringing trying to act like she was born in poverty.

He's doing both.

Yeah moving on, this is a much bigger problem than everything else just discussed. Ridiculous. Every time anyone ever speaks on his behalf they should be asked about this.

Yet a single mother that can't afford to put food on the table needs to pull herself up by the bootstraps and get with the program. Just not a social safety net program.

What does that have to do with anything? Even if you take those votes away, she still got another 1.5 million more.

This may be the actual worst article in the history of Slate.

You know how at work when someone gets promoted or hired? Everyone that day is like "Hi, congrats on the promotion!" or "Hi, welcome to the company!"?

Do you still say that **** 3 months later? Because that's what this clown is doing. He's patting himself on the back and expecting people to kiss his ass.

So to clarify, Obama didn't approve the DAPL because it would make Warren Buffet more money?

I would have vastly preferred Biden, or even O'Malley, at the time.

Anyway, my overall point that I'm trying to make (and I hope you agree) is that Democrats need to have a laser-like focus on achieving our objectives at all times, like Republicans do. We failed in that regard before the election (in ways that we just discussed) and it looks like we are still failing. I said this before--it's time to let the more progressive members take the lead and see what they can do. I support them 100% (I mean FFS in the end I agree with 95% of what progressives stand for, probably more than I do most "moderate" Dems).

But as far as the rest goes, I don't know what to do really. Many people seem to be voting solely on the culture wars and identity politics and it seems like the liberal side is a minority on that right now - at least as far as the electoral college goes.

Grunch,

TRUMP is a crazy and bad POTUS already!

To be fair he is following through on many of his "first 100 day" promises, which I didn't expect. On the other hand I don't see how any of them help middle class Americans in the slightest.
