George Bush fainted after vomiting on the Japanese Prime Minister and it was still more dignified than whatever Trump is doing.

Are there numbers on how many have wanted to impeach the newly elected president in 2008 or 2000 (or other years)? I would imagine that the typical number would be below 5%, 46% seems absurdly high a couple weeks in.

Rand Paul: Liberals made me vote to confirm Sessions

Quote:
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a libertarian-leaning Republican who has clashed with newly confirmed Attorney General Jeff Sessions on drug policy and criminal justice reform, said in an interview that Democrats secured his vote for Sessions by attacking the longtime Alabama senator’s record on race.

“In some ways, the Democrats made it much more certain that I would vote for him by trying to destroy his character,” Paul said Thursday in an interview with The Washington Post and Roll Call for C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers” series. “I think it’s very upsetting that they didn’t choose to go after him on particular issues, like civil asset forfeiture, where they might have been able to persuade someone. They chose to go after a man’s character.”
LOL Paul family stans

Going to take a lot to win against him--he's just going to cry about it and potentially refuse to give up any power that he or Republicans have.

High but not crazy high for the modern era. Straight ballot Republicans were like unanimously for Obama's impeachment toward the end of his presidency, wouldn't be surprised if it was similarly high early on.

I have high hopes for the future of this meme.

Damn, the WH video of the joint presser cuts of the final handshake. Was there a pull-in?

The very famous White House line killed me. He's literally treating the guy like a tourist snapping polaroids.

I feel pretty confident that no matter how stupid a person is - they still want a smart lawyer, doctor, accountant, etc. Somehow we just need to convince them POTUS should fall into the same category. You'd think that would be a given, but this election has proven that not to be the case.

I was trying to fix your link. I don't think the youtube embeds like it when there's a timestamp.

I have been listening to supposedly smart conservative podcasts like "Three Martini Lunch" and surprise surprise, they are total and complete bull****. A couple of hot takes:

1) I've never seen such insecurity. These allegedly grown men are confirmed terrified of the charicature of "THE LEFT" that they paint with seemingly no sense of how ridiculous it makes them sound. They control everything and still can't hide the fear in their voice.

2) They do seem legit concerned about E Warren's appeal. Not sure what to make of that. Could definitely see them jamming the Native American theme ad nauseum, to the surprise of no one.

3) Most importantly: they are no better than Trump. This is important. The GOP is Donald Trump. He is what they want. What seems to you, me, and other critical thinkers as absolute bat**** insanity is *the way things should be* to these guys. I started listening to these podcasts w the hope that they would acknowledge some Trump missteps/incompetence (since, you know, the election is over and all) but yeah no. Everything is not only the fault of "The Left," but the left is mocked and ridiculed for even caring!

Listening to them defend DJT stumping for Ivanka's ****ing clothing line by talking about Solyndra.

Dunno why I do this **** to myself.

Yeah I don't think a lot of you realize how much even moderate (R)s hate Warren. Right-wing media has had over a decade to work on her just like HRC. I worry that motivating the (R) base + being a woman may be pretty tough to overcome.

Maybe you need someone to come out of stealth mode right before the election.

Business taxes going down is not going to have any significant effect on the job market or on individual prosperity below the 1%. Businesses (mare accurately the C-Class execs) are already slaves to their profit and margin; they aren't going to take this new gift and suddenly give it to their employees or go on massive hiring binges, or cut prices (lol).

The same holds true for giving the 1% a tax cut - Richie Richards isn't being held back from "creating jobs" because he's only taking home $10mm a year instead of $14mm. He's just going to pocket that money.

Like 1/3 of the Democrats on this board are terrified of Warren and think she's either Robespierre or Stalin.

Hmm, really? Has anyone voiced opposition to Warren? If you are thinking of me, I can 100% guarantee you I said I would vote for her over Bernie or Hillary way back...

EDIT: OK, so I said it in April 2016, but still.

Why should we care what GOP voters think, moderate or otherwise?
