He's a FIDE Master, which doesn't really qualify as a master imo.

I imagine Trump can never remember how the horsey moves.

I have to admit it would be funny if he simply ignored the ruling but I don't see how he can actually do that. This last 2-3 weeks I've watched more news than I watched the previous 15 years total

That Brietbart vid was amazing.

If you are sincere, and not a troll, may I ask why exactly this would be funny? A Presidential administration openly defying an appellate court order, unanimously decided no less, would be nothing less than a crisis.

I guess because I like excitement more than anything. I think the more likely scenario is the one I heard Van Jones say almost a week ago now on CNN which was that Trump might orchestrate a fake terrorist attack to make himself look right. I wouldn't at all put that past him. Any sort of incident where miraculously nobody is badly injured or killed in the next several months would be suspicious to me

% reversal is based on cases they choose to review. So that puts a storing bias toward reversal. They choose to not review tons of cases where there is obvious SCOTUS concensus to uphold. Without counting those the % reversal is meaningless.

Also wonder how 3-0 decisions fare Vs 2-1 decisions.

FIDE chess masters are masters tho. More so than USCF chess masters

Predicit says there's an 85% chance SCOTUS hears it FWIW.

I guess. When people say "masters" I think IM or GM.

It likely doesn't make the SCOTUS or if it does it's a different order by then. They won't send it there til Gorsuch is in and by then the order likely will have expired. The Dems and GOP are in a tough spot now. The Dems don't want to delay because it now appears they have a motive behind it other than just getting back at the GOP for the Garland thing and the GOP won't want to use the nuclear option either. So this could become interesting

Trump's far more likely to wait and take anything he can spin it into a muslim attack (ie another orlando, which was an american anyway, or a muslim doing anything wrong somewhere in the world) and go wayyyyyyy overboard with it than fake one himself. Bannon on the other hand...

Please answer my question that I asked earlier ITT.

If you think the SC will rule 7-2 or 8-1, why the need to wait til after Gorsuch is a SCOTUS justice?

Cognitive Dissonance is a bitch isn't it?

The order is never expiring.

Hope that helps.

I mean to let it expire would require a complete 180 from trump's thought processes.
02-09-2017 , 10:11 PM
The portion of the order for Syrian refugees does not expire. Changing my vote prediction to 6-3

Because they will do it out of precaution. I don't think the administration trusts anyone right now so they're going to wait til they know they have 5 votes

But it's gonna be 7-2 or 8-1 in your view. Why do they have to wait? His vote will not matter.

Just admit you are talking out of your ass when you say this garbage about this being overturned.

also, I don't want to quote the post that mentioned it, but the meme that Pence is as bad or worse than Trump is flat out wrong imo. Obviously Pence is terrible, obviously he is a rubber stamp for the GOP, obviously he would aggressively pursue a theocracy the best he could.

But he is not insane. He is not mentally ill. Those factors and the fact that we are a nuclear superpower outweigh everything else AINEC.
