Taibbi called him ginger-faced so I thought his height was fair game.

What do you have against Newsom? He's good looking, has a great personality and has pushed for some of the most progressive policies in the union.

Hurting poor and minorities they way it seems he would like to, hurts the non-poor and non-minority (technically, no such thing anymore, I think) american's as well. Such a waste. Sigh.

(not in rebuttal to above tongue-in-cheek posts, btw)

He strikes me as too "smooth" and overly progressive for the general electorate outside of CA. Dems need to nominate someone who is a little rough, with some edges. I'm thinking someone like Tester (who isn't progressive enough for me, but who I think has the right sort of personality.) I think Franken would do a lot better than Newsom.

She is a sharp lady who probably knows more about international trade laws and issues than Tillerson.
Yeah, our cabinet appointees are very smart. Feels nice.

He is what you get if you were to genetically engineer a politician in a lab.

Republicans have equal contempt for the white poor and criminal populations. Tons of Democrats do too. I imagine much of the Democrat's caucus doesn't spend nearly as much time hand wringing over mass incarceration, police misconduct, or cuts to social programs (other than SS or Medicare, from which they directly stand to benefit) as does the liberal wing.

Yeah, not sure why Democrats keep falling into this trap.

Exciting people is way more important than trying to appeal to moderates, especially when your opponent is Donald Trump.

I'm thinking all of the "moderates" have already picked a side. The country's presidential vote pretty close most recent cycles. When was the last real blowout? Regan vs Mondale?

nordstrom, an american company with 70,000 employees is ON BLAST from the president because of his tremendously huge conflict of interest and amazingly short temper
02-08-2017 , 09:54 PM
And Iran is "officially on notice" - notified via tweet - for an incident that had nothing to do with them.

All perfectly NORMAL.

So, uh, when does the GOP get around to, uh, legislating? I mean we already know they have figured out they can't do anything to Obamacare, but surely they can pass a massive tax cut, or at least eliminate the estate tax or something?
