Don't really think I want to blame the under 35 set for this one.

And those 65+ and older voters in 2016 overwhelmingly voted for Carter in 1976.

The young vote more liberal.

40 years from now in 2056, the 65 year old millennials will be disproportionately more conservative than the younger voters (whatever that means then, it doesn't mean 2016 conservative, in fact 2056 conservative will probably be 2016 liberal).

That is the greatest euphemism I have ever heard.
I'm pretty sure "I'm gonna put a baby in ya" doesn't qualify as "discussing surrogacy."

This idea, that people become conservatives as they age, has been debunked numerous times on these boards.

You’ve certainly debunked your own reading comprehension.

awval's point wasn't that people get more conservative, it's society that gets more liberal.

If people don't get more conservative as they age, and the young vote more liberal, how come the president is a Nazi?

It's funny how Avwal lurks and only replies when there's a chance he can say "See, I'm not the only one that voted for Daddy."

In this case, he thinks it's because once millennials get older, they'll vote for more people like the orange dumpster fire.

Boomers have always been terrible people. Somehow people think they were liberal because they did drugs and ****ed a lot, and because they were draft dodgers.

I'm 29 and am more liberal now than when I was 20

But, yeah, I did misunderstand what Awvall was saying. My apologies Awvall.

Isn't the idea that people's political views are shaped in their 20's, and then pretty static after that? So, the 45-64 demographic that loves Trump right now are people who began their interest in politics during Reagan.

I'm trying very hard not to think about the voters who are experiencing their formative political years right now.

Stereo typing is never a good thing, like ever.
