No live audio in District Courts.

"So are you denying that then Candidate Trump and Rudy Giuliani said this was a Muslim ban?"

Rekt.

People need to understand that the Trump administration may well win this fight, either before the 9th Circuit or before the SCOTUS. The President has pretty broad powers when it comes to immigration and the State of Washington's legal arguments are just OK.

Checks and balances are all well and good, but we can't rely on the courts to walk back every supremely ****ed thing that Trump decides to do. Elections have consequences and the U.S. executive branch has immense power under the Constitution. It would be nice if people considered such things before they voted for someone as erratic and thoughtless as Trump.

Speculation, but:

- bringing the suit on behalf of people already here makes jurisdictional issues cleaner

- bringing the suit on behalf of people actually sitting in CBP detention shows an "emminent harm" more clearly than, say, someone who was just not allowed to board a plane in another country. Obviously, having their visas yanked caused lots of problems for those folks too, but it might have been harder to document the harm, especially when the client isn't present.

I'm not defending her. She signed up for this job and you obviously are correct about Bowling Green. My only point was that I'm sure I would come off as an idiot if my job was to explain why all of Trump's lies were lies were no big deal.

People are overly reacting to what is a temporary restriction on 3rd world countries nobody would step foot in much less be overly enthralled about anyone from there moving here

There are plenty of people in my neighborhood from those countries and they are hardworking and completely welcome as far as I am concerned. So you can **** off with this nonsense.

Trump has NPD. Guiliani is dead to him now. Fat Jersey Mike probably has a higher level of trust now.

I'm only half ****ing kidding here. You can imagine what's going on in the amygdala of the Trumpkin: the elites have missed the point again, Trump knows in his gut like they do that Muslims are blowing everyone up, everywhere, and fact-checking, nay, SPELL CHECKING are simply fiddling while Rome burns at the hands of the Mohammedmen. Oh, you doubt the Muslims threaten everyone with Sharia Law and are blowing everyone up? OK whatever, he's a list you nerd, now go **** yourself, IT'S HAPPENING, OK? I mean sure, Donald Trump may spell some words in ways we don't like, but we love him unlike any other politician because he spells the way we're thinking, finally Washington gets it.
Yeah, absolutely. I have no doubt that Trump doesn't care at all that the list is a pile of **** and that may even have been the point. It's kind of diabolical and goes to the ways Trump is "smart", which is to say he understands showmanship and how to con and manipulate people. It's a great advantage, of course, to have no shame at all about throwing total garbage out into public discourse.

The list is impossible to respond to because any criticism of it is a stark demonstration of the failure of the lamestreamers to comprehend what We All Know: that beturbanned Musselmen are probably even now climbing into our windows, knives between teeth. It's an article of faith. Arguing about it is like trying to argue the veracity of the Bible with an evangelical.

Maybe the DOJ is trying to sink the EO by having a fool argue their case.

The insane reason is that Trump is an accomplished con man. Scott Adams is right about all that Master Persuader crap in that sense. The thing he never acknowledges is that Master Persuader is just a new fancy synonym for con artist.

Yeah, it would certainly be easier for a decent human being. She could just be honest and say it seems like this might actually be a big deal, get fired, and move on with her life.
