Can someone explain to me like I'm 5 years old what the **** the point of the thread title change was?

one does not simply ask why Mr. Sklansky censors a thread title

the Reichstag Fire was not a Hitler plan to excuse a takeover through martial law. It had indeed been the work of a Dutch man, Marinus van der Lubbe. But Hitler, ruthlessly and savagely, took advantage of it, instituting martial law and crushing electoral democracy. There would have been another excuse. Hitler had been tricky about his plans until he got the position and the power to enact them. Trump had been tricky, neither accepting nor rejecting the endorsement of KKK leader David Duke. David Duke! The KKK! In this century! He claimed he didn’t know who he was. He couldn’t be disqualified because of someone he didn’t know. That’s where we all went wrong, thinking he was stupid and outrageous, not canny and savvy and able to play the media like Paganini.
Interesting. I had thought it was a false flag. That guy was tried and executed in 1936, but he was re-tried posthumously in 1967 and his sentence was changed from death to 8 years in prison, in 1980 that was overturned, in 1983 overturning was overturned and finally in 2007 71 years after being executed he was pardoned.

Well, that's helps a little. So at this point all we know is that DS changed it and we have no idea why? Thought there may have been an explanation somewhere that I missed.

Well son, the title was kind of offensive. First as a concept, and then as a reality. I'm hoping this is the first step in a process that helps us to forget it ever happened.

Yes, you are reading that right. He at least didn't know what the precedent was, and that's ****ing insane.

No, what's insane is that he has no clue how government functions, what NATO is, etc., and yet still somehow never once got asked a question during the campaign that highlighted how little he knows about the very basics of government.

That he's acting on his complete lack of knowledge is to be expected.

Whole article is worth reading, but big take away for me is that Trump was not "fully briefed" on the EO that put Bannon on the NSC Principals Committee before he signed the order.

So, if this is true, (1) Trump is signing EO's without fully understanding what is in them and (2) Trump feels Bannon is so important (or Trump is so unwilling to publicly concede to a error) that Trump didn't fire him.

NATO meeting with Trump present should be interesting. If these 1 on 1 calls are going so splendidly, I can't imagine how he's going to react when he feels teamed up on. And I don't imagine NATO leaders are going to handle him with kid gloves like GOP/foxnews over Russia/Putin.

out of curiosity, just called David to ask about title change. he has no idea when or how it happened.

it was definitely him, however.

He'll just storm out and put them on notice after calling them "bad hombres".

Did he sound refreshed, like he'd just awoken from a keyboard nap?

02-05-2017 , 10:47 PM
I guess that depends on whether Trump has full control of the NSA. Or the Fish and Wildlife Service. One or the other.
