I've not read the piece below yet but not many studies of his actions suggest he's got a firm footing in reality.

Just saw it for the first time. Seems pretty clear to me he meant 47.

Good poast, but I think this is a better way to say it.

Honestly, that's not how I read what he said at all but who knows.
02-05-2017 , 06:06 PM
history just repeats

stupid **** like changing the name of the thread is how he will just waltz into the whitehouse for a 2nd term like he decimated hillary in this election

dunno why we dont care about the homeless veterns we already have in the states, lets worry about putting them up in AIRBNBs not people that might or might not have alternative motives for wanting to be here. The veterns have already shown their allegiance, guess no free AIRBNBs for them

He (DS) has talked about the 57 states gaffe before and compared it with various Bushisms, which is why it struck a nerve. Not too important in the grand scheme but worth pointing out that it's ridiculous imo.

Thread title change is pretty weird.
02-05-2017 , 06:10 PM
Thread title change shows DS is hip to the dark possibilities a future with trump presents.

Well the point of my post is that if you look at the tape he actually says he's been to 57 states and has 'one more to go', which means at a minimum he's saying there are 58 states. Plus he references Alaska and Hawaii as not 'considered important enough to visit' or something, so add those to the 'one more to go' and he's saying there are 60 states, not 57.

Obviously it's all nonsense but it's a fun way to win some money off your right wing friends. They fall for it all the time.

This reaction almost always is an overreaction.

Democrats don't need to shed their ethics to win back the presidency.
It's about more than just winning the presidency.

Gerrymandering and voter suppression gives the (R) control of the house which obstructs every (D) president while rubber stamping their own party's bills.
The rare times the Dems actually control the house or senate their pathological desire for comprise gets little done which the Republicans will reverse the first chance they get. So it's always one step forward, two steps back.

No, not even close. Notice how a few posts ago I used you as the liberal equivalent of low info Trump voters.

Yeah totally. We had no choice but to elect a president who openly rejects the separation of powers and doesn't know how to govern because of the Clinton Foundation.

And obviously emails. Never forget that Hillary Clinton sent email.

Give us some money to fight AIDS, and thereby save a bunch of lives, and we'll promise to invade whomever you want, thereby killing a bunch of people.

Makes sense I guess.

Ah OK, I get it. He was technically (and erroneously, with a simple slip of the tongue) implying there's 60 states, ha!
