A yard of rain in less than a week sounds pretty intense.

The same thing is true in the VOTER survey — and, again, this was evident well before 2016. When originally interviewed in December 2011, Sanders-Trump voters were actually more likely to favor increasing trade (59 percent said so) than Sanders-Clinton voters (48 percent said so).

And, again, the bigger cleavage involved race. For example, in December 2011, 75 percent of Sanders-Trump voters agreed with this statement: “If blacks would only try harder they could be just as well off as whites.” Only 16 percent of Sanders-Clinton voters agreed.

Similarly, when how they felt about whites and blacks on a 0-100 scale, Sanders-Trump voters rated blacks 9 points lower than Sanders-Clinton voters. But Sanders-Trump voters rated whites 8 points higher.

The same thing was true for other minority groups. Compared with Sanders-Clinton voters, Sanders-Trump voters rated Latinos 21 points less favorably, Muslims 21 points less favorably, and gays and lesbians 22 points less favorably.

His quote saying that making money is about keeping score is just pathetic. Keeping score against whom? Some schmuck you'll never meet? You have $17 billion at 80 years of age and it's not enough? Yay, you? There are 20 year olds that have led a fuller life than this guy. But go ahead and hoard your money til you die if it makes you feel better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yep, and good news:

EDIT: Maybe not good news:

New Yorker article so good. That magazine is head and shoulders above anything else and has been for decades.

I went back to look for any actions that Trump might have unwillingly taken against Russia and found something strange.

Do we know what happened with the 7th Fleet? Was it hacked to punish Trump? He won't talk about it, or honor the dead sailors. Here are the dates of the accidents:

8/19/2016 — USS Louisiana - Manafort Fired
5/09/2017 — USS Lake Champlain - Comey Fired
6/17/2017 — USS Fitzgerald - Jared/Data/Bots/Geotargeting Under Investigation*
8/21/2017 — USS McCain - Bannon Fired (weekend)
Did China Hack the Seventh Fleet?

I submit Russia as the hacker if it's true.

That article isn't even an article. Just says "Was the 7th Fleet hacked?". This might be the most insane thing I've seen. I guess anything is possible.
08-24-2017 , 09:46 PM
Oh yeah, the article wasn't even important. I just linked it for the dates.

Our House. You need to stop. Don't be this kind of poster, just don't do it anymore. It isn't a good path.

There's actually a 5th one on Jan 31st. It was harder to find because the articles don't combine the dates.

USS Antietam guided-missile cruiser runs aground, leaks oil

Quote:
(CNN) The USS Antietam, a US Navy Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser, damaged its propellers and spilled hydraulic oil into the water after running aground off the coast of Japan.

The incident, which occurred Tuesday while the ship was anchoring in Tokyo Bay near Yokosuka, Japan, did not result in any injuries to US or Japanese personnel, but the discharge of up to 1,100 gallons of hydraulic oil prompted environmental concerns.
2 things happened on the 30th that were anti Russia. Trump fired Yates after she warned him of Flynn could be blackmailed, and fines were applied to Deutsche Bank for Russian money laundering.

Trump fires acting Attorney General Sally Yates. According to his statement, the reason is that she had “betrayed the Department of Justice” by refusing to defend Trump’s travel ban in court.

Deutsche Bank Fined for Russian Money Laundering

Deutsche Bank agrees to pay a $425 million fine to settle New York State charges that from 2011 to 2015, it helped Russian investors launder as much as $10 billion through its branches in Moscow, London and New York. Allegedly, a group of executives arranged stock trades that had no purpose other than to disguise what the client was doing.

I read somewhere credible that I can't find anymore(so take with appropriate grains of salt) that they think North Korea developed GPS spoofing(or got it from China) and they are the likely suspect.

Our House, please, no. Trump is an American problem, created by Americans. Russia is not the ****ing Bogeyman.

Almost. A friend of mine had it in the DVD player but we never watched it.

The reason centrists(and Our House has never posted about regular politics but I'd wager an enormous amount he's center-left/liberal) are so ****ing obsessed with Russia is that they don't want to face the reality that America has a ****ing rot of white supremacy and authoritarianism and it's been there since the start.

Look at this ****:

WE'RE doing the fake news TO Russia! Breitbart is a vanity project funded by the Mercers, consumed by America's large demographic of closeted fascists.

It doesn't matter if I'm right or not. This was worth pointing out.

If NK or China are more likely, say why. Right now it leans Russia.

Wouldn't that be pro-Russia?

Anyway, what makes Russian interference scary is that they can help the right wing gain and secure power. That and how they can hack an entire nation's power grid.
