The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

That was a joke btw. I'm not actually gonna shoot myself. We don't even have guns over here. Goodbye.

Re: Friends w/Russia

Trump may have spoken highly about Putin, but never promoted a personal friendship. He spoke regularly about our country being friendly with their country. It was his biggest foreign policy stance since the beginning of the campaign. As more people with Russian ties ended up in government positions, his stance strengthened.

Trump's Russian infestation began with real estate and casinos decades ago. He can be likened to a dog with fleas, who's in denial because he's too accustomed to scratching.

Once Trump started his campaign, the Stone/Manafort type fleas called on others to join. And on and on they festered.

When he entered office, Trump carried them indoors. They're bad for the House because they force him to do things, but his denial has been strong enough to fend off all the cat lovers.

We've been creative and forceful to pick off one flea at a time. But that wasn't quite cutting it. Trump Dog kept us entertained by performing lots of tricks in the meantime.

A professional company, General Exterminating, was recently hired to give him a bath. And that's where we stand now.

Also, Mueller = dog catcher...we can play this game all day.

^ from that article, on Campaign Trump vs. Current Trump:

Quote:
An increase to the 8,500 U.S. service members currently in Afghanistan would represent a bow to reality for a president who, before taking office, had called for a “speedy withdrawal” from the war that began in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. As a candidate, Trump denounced Afghanistan as a “total disaster” and railed that the costly conflict in Central Asia drained enormous resources at a time of more pressing needs at home for American taxpayers.
lol everyone who bought his BS

Before he went to the NBA, the dude became famous for playing professionally in Europe at the age of 14, which I think is the youngest ever. There are 66 million people in England. By your estimate that would mean there are only 660 basketball fans in the entire country.

So, going by how absurd that notion is, maybe you should rethink some other positions you've been espousing ITT?

We have a new threat of escalation to be aware of starting on September 1st. Ambassador Kislyak's replacement is a lot more aggressive. (yes I follow Putin on Twitter - shut up)

Meet Anatoly Antonov, Russia's newest ambassador to the US

Quote:
Anatoly Antonov, currently Russia's deputy foreign minister, will take over as Russia's ambassador to the US on September 1.

Antonov, who has been appointed to the role by Russian President Vladimir Putin and replaces long-time ambassador Sergey Kislyak, takes over at a time when tensions are at an all-time high over Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 US presidential election.

Antonov is currently under Western sanctions in connection with his involvement with the deployment of Russian troops into Ukraine during the Crimea crisis in 2014.

Throughout more than 30 years working in Russia's Foreign Ministry, Antonov has earned a reputation as a "bull-terrier" and military-style man.

Here's what you need to know about the man that many expect to take a tough stance on Russia's relations with the West.
"Alleged" interference. Pretty cautious for a left leaning publication.

I was talking to someone about Trump crimes (Obstruction, Emoluments, Laundering, ......) and came to an unknown legal question.

When POTUS instructs his loyal head of the FCC to alter rules so an old loophole is revived for Sinclair to run State Propaganda in 72% of households instead of the 39% currently maxed out by other media...

Is that a crime, or just abuse of power?

This is an example of something that happens a lot in many different ways. Trump isn't smart enough to do any of it alone, but he's usually aware of the basics and will obviously deny it 100% because, let Trump be Trump.

Rule changes are subject to the Federal Administrative Procedures Act. In order to change and FCC rule, Trump has got to follow the proper procedure or the change will be overturned. The agency will have to give its reasons for changing the rule and so long as those reasons meet the APA's requirements, they will probably be upheld. There is nothing ostensibly illegal about reviving an old policy. Trump is trying to do that right now with the Waters of the US definition under the Clean Water Act.
