I thought Team Teardown was getting you rustled.

bannon was pushing for his agenda from the inside, now he's gonna push his agenda from the outside. if trump betrays brightbart-brand conservative values they might actually be critical of him. trump getting it from both sides = harder to get anything done plus he looks like an incapable ****head to more people

Team Teardown is just having a laugh. Not much to get rustled over.

I'm far more incensed Monticello hasn't been burned yet. Let's get some DIRECT ACTION up in this *****. Did Heyer die for nothing?

I agree if Trump literally stops being himself the criticism could overwhelm him (former him).

No, it's not anonymous, I was just making the point that right now I think the only thing holding back a ton of the Republicans in Congress is putting their name next to their vote - if they could secretly do it, they would. So, once they have a combination of:

a) political cover

and

b) polling that indicates it's in their best interest to do it

They'll do it. I think we're getting closer... The past week gave them more political cover than the Russia stuff, and should hurt his polling, too. I don't know what he needs to drop to, but 20-25% is probably a good guess. Nixon's floor was 24%. Basically, 25% equates to roughly 50% support in the Republican primaries, so with it trending downward, they know they're close to more GOP voters opposing Trump than supporting him. It gets more complicated, because the registered Republicans who vote in primaries skew more conservative than registered/self-identified Republicans in polls, but those guys also have to win general elections after they win primaries... and I don't know how bad a president with 25% approval rating hypothetical messes it up for them in terms of Cook PVI district-by-district, but it's gotta be pretty bad.

It's also a combination of the two, so his approval could jump to 45% and Mueller could drop a bombshell that makes them move on it right away (knowing his approval would subsequently drop and finding it unacceptable to wait).

Anyway, speaking of approval rating...

It can also be bad news for his approval numbers and his base... Right now the Breitbart wing, the racist right, etc, just love him... He's losing tons of support from both right and left of the political center, but it's all to the left of Trump...

If he starts losing support from the extreme right wing, he'd be losing it from both his left and his right, and he might spin out of control politically (or worse). I think this could send him into the political equivalent of a computer loop, where he keeps pandering to whatever support he thinks he has left.

every single comment thread in every relevant article should be lit up with goading, mocking comments about what a pathetic cuck he is for fighting trumps' battles after getting kicked out of the WH

Some of your favorite posts are black.

Sorry, I tend to skim yours 😴

you must have a painfully short attention span then

not enviable

I bet bannon’s nose was the reddest it had been in the last year last night.

I do love the hot take that a guy who was unknown to 99.99% of the population then went on to a high profile whitehouse staff position is going to bring in the pain because he will be unchained to do his work. Even if it means going back to obscurity.

I know some people think the alt-right scourge lives on but I don’t think Miller/Gorka have much influence on trump at all. Bannon had seen his erode drastically since end of campaign and early office but he was still likely the most heeded voice in that group.

Even today's Bannon news is, as significant as it is, is confusing as hell. I just got back an hour ago and am trying to figure things out.

The only thing that's evident so far is the patriots (Generals?) are cleaning house and Bannon's faction will be continuing their efforts from Breitbart & the outside.

I also just learned there's a hiccup in the Mueller investigation. Trump may have had a mole in there. One of the investigators, who was previously FBI counter-espionage, got demoted to FBI human resources a few days ago. He used to do work with the Inspector General who handled Hillary's emails. Nothing concrete, but one article made a case that he tipped off the Manafort raid, which would obviously blow big time.
(source: Rachel)

When McMaster rooted out Flynn's intelligence guys, is that part of the Bannon faction? McMaster also blocked that Eric Prince Afghanistan thing. Is that Bannon's doing too?

And where do Jared & Ivanka fit in? Just independent family members?

If someone knows of a good link for WH factions, I'm interested.

This is gonna be a MESS going forward.

Still mostly segregated, de facto serfdom for blacks.

I know my pony is a bit underground, but the Ben Sasse Facebook post is irritating as ****. (https://t.co/8ioBDTMIrd)

I know people are going to fall hook, line, and sinker for this ******* who has approved all of Trump's agenda and is now trying to paint himself as the reasonable or compassionate or whatever conservative. So ****ing annoying.

Hey do Trump supporters in here on balance think that 4 years of Trump will be better than the last 4 years of Obama? Pound for pound, will your country be better? If so, in what ways?
