And even before he came to his senses it is unlikely he would have condoned slavery.

And to reiterate: condoning slavery when you know its wrong, just to make money, means that someone who kills you to free a slave is doing the right thing. Any founding father whose murder was morally justifiable should not be revered regardless of his other accomplishments.
What?

I mean, I'm not saying this necessarily isn't true, but it's not obviously true and you just throw it out there like accepted fact.

Good point. Since black people think in fundamentally different ways from the rest of us, and obviously there couldn't be any of them on this forum, who can know?

On the Russian front, last night's Rachel if you missed it. It's another one of those times the WH has the latest "proof" of Hillary's crimes days before even Russia released it lol. Internal WH memo(s) this time. They're so sloppy.

It's a shame he couldn't say the same thing when a white supremacist was the perpetrator.

Its debatable because of my wording where I seemed to be including slavery sympathizers. But if you are only speaking about the slaveowners themselves I think it is obvious that someone who kills them to free their slaves when no other action would work, is not being immoral. Even Bruce Z admitted that.

(By the way, if you feel it is incumbent upon you to point out when someone writes something as if it is obvious and is an accepted fact, even when it isn't, you will be spending a lot of time on this forum.)

An actual headline in 2017:

Pro-Trump rally and Juggalo March will happen on same day in DC

Did he just tweet about General Pershing?? WTF.

Debunked story highly racist against Muslim culture. He told this at rallies all the time. Probably gonna use it Tuesday now.

So great that the President of the United States calls all media that disagree with him "FAKE NEWS!" while telling old myths as if they're true.

EDIT: Hold on...it's not really a big deal. More important to me because I like the person and was surprised to hear back. Basically, I reached out to some experts from TV/newspapers and this one got back. Sloppy reply with grammar off and stuff and half their job is writing heh.

ME
Hi xxxx. I'm curious about something and I know you are an expert. Have you ever seen Trump take an action straight up, or does he cheat, scam, break rules/laws, etc. every time?

Similar question about voting security, have you heard of anything being fixed in time for midterms, or is everything either stagnant or getting worse? I'm very concerned about Russia somehow having access to our data, or cybersecurity passwords at a minimum.

THEM
He cheats whenever it's useful to do so. I'm voting I don't know although xxx xxx xxx xxx the original 1992 report by computer scientists for social responsibility at Princeton returned their highly technical document into plain English

Easiest and best solution would be to go to paper ballots like the Canadians do with proper observation and controls are the movement those ballots by police

-----

Like I said, no big deal. Trump answer was vague and they obv rushed this reply. I've heard the paper ballot thing plenty, but the Princeton thing makes no sense to me or to Google. How can 1992 help us with today's hacks and thumb drives and stuff?

Corker: Trump hasn't demonstrated the stability or competence to be successful
Sen. Bob Corker slammed President Donald Trump's handling of the racially motivated protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, charging that the President "has not demonstrated he understands the character of this nation."
The Tennessee Republican told reporters in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Thursday that he thinks there must be "radical changes" within the White House.
"The President has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs to be successful," Corker said, according to a video posted by local news website Nooga.com.

"He has not demonstrated that he understands what has made this nation great and what it is today, and he's got to demonstrate the characteristics of a president who understands that," Corker added.

i'm sure trump will accept this as constructive criticism, make the proper changes, and move on

This. I've been saying the monuments to Jefferson and Washington are NOT celebrating their views on slavery, while a monument to a Confederate general is celebrating his fight to preserve slavery.

The country is nowhere near ready to tear down a Thomas Jefferson statue, and if we advocate for it we'll be labeled as radicals. I think we need to walk before we can run.

I saw the video, and he pauses for a few seconds before the competency comment. That's a significant choice of words - especially coming after a pause.
