So what percent of BLM protestors also would like to see statues of slave owning founding fathers removed?

If you really don't understand the difference then it's your own personal choice to remain simple.

We do have museums. Feel free to learn about guys like Benedict Arnold and Robert E Lee there. I can't believe Benedict never even got a statue, wonder why?!? Statues have a clear purpose ADORATION! Hell even Lee said statues in regards to the war were dumb.

I don't think this is obviously true. I think Trump has done very real and lasting damage to the fundamentals of US democracy.

The Campbell's Soup CEO quitting was surprising to me. She had said she wasn't going to leave the council but changed her mind after yesterday. Or it could be the soup Nazi references got to her.

Hope Hicks is a child. Whose next after we chew her up and spit her out?

Trump doing a great impression of a spoilt, petulant child taking his ball home because the other kids don't want him on their team.

Tired of winning yet?

He's going to say something like "these people didn't want to leave, they told me privately, but the fake news media made them quit"

NYT on the councils dissolving: was already basically done before Trump's announcement

Quote:
The quick sequence began late Wednesday morning when Stephen A. Schwarzman, the chief executive of the Blackstone Group and one of Mr. Trump’s closest confidants in the business community, organized a conference call for members of the president’s Strategic and Policy Forum.

On the call, the chief executives of some of the largest companies in the country debated how to proceed.

After a discussion among a dozen prominent C.E.O.s, the decision was made to abandon the group altogether, said people with knowledge of details of the call.
Quote:
Before the president’s decision to dissolve the two councils, executives from his manufacturing council were expected to have a similar call Wednesday afternoon. The manufacturing panel has seen a wave of defections since Monday, as business chiefs who had agreed to advise the president determined that his remarks left them with no choice but to walk away.
