Good? Did it age good?
At least we're actually tracking the story properly now. The wolves just ran someone over but the villagers still don't believe us.

Does anyone know how close we are to a Constitutional Convention? Last I heard was over a month ago, and it was something like 33/37. That was before that coal mine Governor converted from D to R.

The last thing we need right now is these ****ers changing the Constitution to bend it around Trump.

The swamp is set to writhe, gents.

Let's revisit.
Is it revisiting time yet?

Somehow I'm more offended by Jared and Ivanka's transparent attempts to distance themselves from her dad while so profiting off of him. I mean Trump's lazy and plays golf every weekend but these guys seem to be on constant vacation and just can't seem to be in the right place at the right time.

This is not Trump is a 6D chessmaster blah blah, but I don't think it would be much of a conspiracy for Ivanka to have implicit if not explicit approval from her dad to play this game. That is, they've agreed that Papa is the right-wing salesman while she plays the role of pleading cosmopolitan for the purposes of preserving the appeal of her fashion brands and for keeping the channels of communication with New York media open, and they've agreed Ivanka/Jared can be leaky/critical to keep up the ruse here.

I'd love a reporter to have the balls to ask Ivanka what she thinks about her dad 'giving comfort to groups who think her children are sub human scum'.

A new FBI witness.

In Ukraine, a Malware Expert Who Could Blow the Whistle on Russian Hacking

Quote:
JUSTIN T. GELLERSON FOR THE NEW YORK TIMES
By ANDREW E. KRAMER and ANDREW HIGGINS
AUGUST 16, 2017
KIEV, Ukraine — The hacker, known only by his online alias “Profexer,” kept a low profile. He wrote computer code alone in an apartment and quietly sold his handiwork on the anonymous portion of the internet known as the Dark Web. Last winter, he suddenly went dark entirely.

Profexer’s posts, already accessible only to a small band of fellow hackers and cybercriminals looking for software tips, blinked out in January — just days after American intelligence agencies publicly identified a program he had written as one tool used in the hacking of the Democratic National Committee.

But while Profexer’s online persona vanished, a flesh-and-blood person has emerged: a fearful man who the Ukrainian police said turned himself in early this year, and has now become a witness for the F.B.I.

Well he got us to stop talking about Russia for a while!

Dunno where people get that more people were killed by Stalin though. Are they counting the 20-something million Russians that the Germans killed?
It is wrong and horrible to suggest that the crimes of the Soviet regime were as bad or worse than the crimes of the Nazis, because they weren't. It's also a bit misleading though to suggest that Stalin was the only Soviet mass murderer or that Russian nationalism was the ideology motivating those killings. A big theme of Stalin's atrocities was the drive to collectivize agriculture (a left policy) and exterminate groups that were likely to oppose that agenda. Also, recall that Lenin and Trotsky were prolific murderers themselves and they were certainly ideological communists and not nationalists.

McConnell just came out against Nazi stuff because they wanted to have a "rally" in Lexington, KY, his State. He said they weren't welcome there or anywhere in America. Didn't call Trump out by name or title though.

I've been watching carefully. Big change since "Fire and fury" so that even Rachel hasn't been leading with Russia stories much.

The Nazi movement won't subside for a bit. All kinds of racists will be coming out of the woodworks. I shudder thinking about red States.

We live in a time when the Army Chief of Staff tweeting about intolerance for racism is news, because by doing so he's directly contradicting the commander-in-chief.

Why? Nothing interesting would happen.

'People who know my father well know that he has love and respect for all people. He clearly stated that these groups and beliefs are wrong, and has condemned violence in its forms. I think the criticism has been very unfair and has distracted people from the many positive steps we have taken to Make America Great Again.'

The belief among liberals that Ivanka Trump has some kind of soul or conscience despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary is mystifying.

The Trumps are human garbage, with the possible exception of Baron.

Here's a secret: the Ivanka love fest is primarily fueled by men who find her attractive. People want to like a good-looking, well-spoken person.

Think this gets it backwards. Bush remains orders of magnitudes worse; as of now Trump is just a ****ing hapless idiot with the potential for great danger.

I'm not sure I believe this, but I think there's a real argument to be made that the Bush presidency was less bad from a fundamental democracy point of view. I don't think the overall future of the US as a stable democracy was jeopardized as much during his presidency.

Well spoken? She didn't know what complicit meant.

well spoken as posh sounding rather than articulate by people who are unable to distinguish

I guess, but hundreds of thousands dead because of a lie is also on that side of the balance.
