I've been wanting to start a thread on WW3 over the last week, because a strong case can be made that it already started. Not the US vs NK, but Russia leading the charge of a global battle between Democracy and Authoritarianism. Regardless, we have to move past the ancient notion that only military conflict equals war. As the Wired article above states, Russia only uses their military as a final takeover step, once the country has been weakened enough (in so many ways) for them to prevail. Although, we should note that the deafening of Diplomats in Cuba is the first known physical harm directed at multiple American citizens.

I start to feel like a dick to point out every-time that Americans falsely claim that USA is Nr. 1 at something. By what metric other then the military is (or has been) the USA the strongest democracy?
The USA is quite good at defeating itself. Russia has little to do with it, sure it is easy to point at the bad bad Russians but it is just a distraction. The real problems rest deep within American society.
