This. Everything that Trump says should be interpreted on the basis that he is stupid and can't take any criticism or perceived slight. So he is simply saying "FU, I was going to sack them myself".

Plus no way the butcher knife described in the article is something Trump's tweeny girl hands could manage. Trump would go for The Leftovers and use a scalpel.

Since Trump has been more accessible to news conference-type interviews lately, someone should simply ask him what's the most negative thing he can say about Vladimir Putin. Even then, I bet you get nothing from him.

I wanted to annoy them if they somehow read the post plus justify not going to great lengths to get revenge. The difference though, between my words and Trump's, is that I really was thankful that the incident (in its totality) happened, while Trump was probably just pretending to save face.

If Germany had kicked out 50% of our diplomats, would trump have reacted the same way?

That's the crux of the issue.

He would be calling murkel all kinds of names on twitter and railing on her in speeches.

Since it's Russia. Nothing.

Better ask him what the worst thing he can say about himself.

Reporter: You said NK will be met with "Fire & Blood" & etc. if they threaten us with the wrong words, but Rex Tillerson said Americans can "sleep well" and not worry about these things. Are you guys on the same page?

Trump: Absolutely.

Reporter: But you said they would be met wi...

Trump: Yep, that's right. If they even think about touching Guam, they can expect the wrath of the whole nuclearly American military on his missile sites.

Reporter: Venezuela?

Trump: Oh, they're screwed. We've even developed a military plan to take over if they can't handle it.

Reporter: Australia?

Trump: They need to join in with us in attacking NK soon, just like China MUST help with applying strong economic pressure on Kim.

Reporter: And your response to Putin? Expelling US Diplomats? Attacking our political processes? Deafening Americans in Cuba?...(10 minutes later)...All of that. Any comments on ANY of it?

Trump: You know damn well I'm not going to give away what I'm thinking, like Obama with his Generals on TV every day. But you know what..

The lazy liar Senate loser piece of **** turtle Mitch McConnell is right to point out that we could've had Hillary Clinton. WHEW! That puppet would have had us tied up in multiple investigations, global conflicts, mass corruption, and we'd be on the brink of nuclear war by now. Thanks Putin!

Damn, violence just broke out at the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville VA in the middle of MSNBC's AM Joy broadcast. Some lady was reporting live on the split screen, when someone else whizzed by and pulled her off to the side lol. Then people were just swinging and fighting. I was like WTF?

I guess violent police crackdowns are not called for when it's aggrieved whites getting uppity
08-12-2017 , 11:20 AM
I mean they're fighting right on live TV and there's not a cop to be found
08-12-2017 , 11:29 AM
Of course violence is allowed, they are all white.

Anyone who thinks the US President should be joke tweeting critical international diplomacy is a full on "MORAN". Of course we all knew this before the election and even discussed it. That's why people who voted for trump exposed themselves as incredibly stupid or incredibly ignorant, NOT social media comedy fans.

And we don't need him to be giving a sincere thank you to use this as yet more evidence that he is a drooling moron. Making a joke in this spot is beyond stupid. He's an idiot, but there is no reason to think he is lying about it being sarcastic here. Eviscerate him instead along the lines of SCreaminAsian.
We have mountains of evidence of trump doing things in his life, being called out for it then claiming it was something else after the fact.

So no trump's own reality does not support your thesis.

I don't even understand how this is an argument. Why would you choose to die on the hill that trump was just joking here? Seems like a ridiculously precarious assumption with no benefit or positive outcome.

It is not like saying it was sarcasm makes it even a fraction less worse. Sarcasm does not play well in international diplomacy. Again why on earth would you choose this issue to defend trump on? Trump regularly uses simulated sarcasm as a means of expressing himself. He regularly tweets things we would once assume were jokes but really were not. Trump actually doesn't joke that much although he likes to play like he does.

Of course. Nobody denies it is beyond ridiculous that Trump is incapable of mustering a legitimate criticism of Putin's escalation here and has resorted - as he so often does - to stupid, insincere, off the cuff nonsense.

But we don't have to pretend it was a sincere thank you when it clearly wasn't.
08-12-2017 , 12:25 PM
We know it wasn't sincere, you don't have to worry about people thinking Trump is sincere.

Those financials for the DC hotel show revenues way above their own projections on just under 35% occupancy.
