If a bohemian is voting in our elections the voter fraud must be off the charts.

big win for personal friends of donald trump
I wonder how many of these "friends of his" with nice businesses had to get their financing from Russian oligarchs and now are getting squeezed by Putin himself.

The FCC is stopping 9 companies from providing federally subsidized Internet to the poor

Quote:
Regulators are telling nine companies they won't be allowed to participate in a federal program meant to help them provide affordable Internet access to low-income consumers — weeks after those companies had been given the green light.

The move, announced Friday by FCC Chairman Ajit Pai, reverses a decision by his Democratic predecessor, Tom Wheeler, and undercuts the companies' ability to provide low-cost Internet access to poorer Americans. In a statement, Pai called the initial decisions a form of “midnight regulation.”

“These last-minute actions, which did not enjoy the support of the majority of commissioners at the time they were taken, should not bind us going forward,” he said.

The program, known as Lifeline, provides registered households with a $9.25-a-month credit, which can then be used to buy home Internet service. As many as 13 million Americans may be eligible for Lifeline but do not have broadband service at home, the FCC has found.

For Kajeet Inc., one of the companies that was initially granted permission to provide service through Lifeline, the news comes as a blow.

“I’m most concerned about the children we serve,” said Kajeet founder Daniel Neal. “We partner with school districts — 41 states and the District of Columbia — to provide educational broadband so that poor kids can do their homework.”

Obviously blaming snarky libs for trump is not something I'm particularly fond of but in the age of fake news something as comparatively subtle as the above exchange might genuinely be muddying the waters for large groups of dumb people.

The go to for internet liberals does seem to be repeating republican talking points but in a sarcastic manner. I worry the sarcasm is disregarded and the fake news is unintentionally reinforced. It's going to be a tough habit to break especially for me but I think I'm personally going to try and tone it down. The benefit of me feeling superior (while important) doesn't outweigh even the small possibility that I'm causing damage to the progressive cause.
I think this is very true and something I will try and stop doing as well.

The best way to combat these lies is to put your serious hat on and call bull**** on the bull****. Be unrelentingly serious about what is going on. Don't find humor or joy in the fact that we live in a Kakistocracy. Treat it as the massive problem that it is.

snap accept. I'd also take two terms of Pence if necessary. Trump is exceptionally bad, far beyond ideology.

Sure. I think it probably lowers the median outcome somewhat for the things I care about (liberal white guy in NC in my 30s married with 2 kids) but having president Pence (and no Bannon) takes most of the horrific options off of the table so the average outcome is a hell of a lot better.

Louvre terrorist is from Egypt, tried to get Visa in UAE. Both countries are not on Trumps brilliantly executed Travel Ban. Interesting...

No. Bannon is still there and the same things would go on only Pence would be POTUS.

It'd have to be his entire administration not just Trump.

I was assuming they would be gone. Purge every appointee and start over to be safe.

Spicer giving Orange credit for January jobs report. If it were a bad report he would blame the dirty black POTUS for messing up the jerbs.

Quote:
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Friday suggested President Donald Trump "inspired" the job growth shown in the January jobs report, even though Trump was only sworn into office on Jan. 20.

The economy added 227,000 jobs in January and the unemployment rate rose slightly to 4.8 percent. Trump himself said that the jobs report shows the "great spirit in the country right now."

My local Papa John's hired 2 guys just to throw dough in the background because the manager was rapturous that Trump was elected.

On the phone with my Dad...he asks me if I knew all of the protesters at the airports were paid and organized by Soros...and then went off on all of Academia because one professor somewhere said the Green Bay Packers are more patriotic than Tom Brady because of His support for Trump.

He then tells me a heart warming story about Robert Kraff owing Trum his friendship because Trump was nice to Kraft after Kraft's wife died. Did you know that Kraft went to Donald's wedding, too? (I asked which one but he didn't hear me)

I'm to the point where I don't want to know my Dad.

He's not a terrorist. He attacked armed men. That's an act of war.

Don't let Trump win like that. Would just smile politely and ignore him. You both like sports, talk about that instead.

The "Soros pays everybody" thing cracks me up. I've met George Soros, and the idea that he's masterminding this sort of stuff is insane. He's just a super rich old dude who's liberal.

I just repeat "uh huh" over and over until he starts talking about the Federer/Badal match or something. I'm done trying to convince an 83 year old man that Bill O'Reilly is lying to him.

If Trump is gone, Bannon, Carson, Kushner, and Guliani are gone immediately. The rest of Trump's Koch Bros/Goldman Sachs team might stay though.

My Dad's argument was, "you think everyone just suddenly decided to go to the airports all at once?" But I guess it makes sense that Soros reached out and paid everyone to protest the day after the ban was announced. THAT'S possible.

I mean, he doesn't even know what social media is, or how people can mobilize quickly. And it'd be impossible to explain it to him.

What drives me crazy is that my Dad is not a racist and has welcomed all races, gay or straight, all nationalities, into his home all of the time. If he actually SAW a refugee in need of help right in front of him, he'd take him home and feed him and give him clothing.

He's a world traveler and loves Morocco. ive date women of different color, religions, and nationalities, and he's treated all of them without fault like queens! He's the most generous man I know.

But Trump is god! This is what makes me really pessimistic...if my Dad can be this blind to the evil that this administration is doing, then what hope do we have?
