Did anyone see what happened with that big opiod crisis meeting? I saw surrogates beefing up Trump for "leading the fight" and "taking the reigns" against the crisis. If Trumpists weren't so brainwashed, they might actually notice how often Trump claims victory for talking, promising things, and just being in the room, without ever DOING anything at all.

In this particular case, it's incredible. The one thing that came out of the meeting was how the consensus was that the opiod epidemic needs to be declared a national emergency. Trump declined, then stupidass Tom Price followed. Trump instead had a better suggestion, because only he alone can fix everything. In addition to the stepping up of law enforcement at the border that's already (not) being done, Trump's brilliant solution was "To stop addiction, we need to be telling kids that drugs are not good. Very very bad for you."

I think it's likely tied to the subpoenaed documents that went out yesterday. Muellers team/senate intel likely knew certain documents existed and Manfort failed to produce them, giving them probable cause to the judge that he is hiding/destroying them.
