This post was before I spent the last hour thumbing through the following insanity. People have asked me for a full version of Russian Trump stuff. Enjoy:

Think You Know How Deep Trump-Russia Goes? Think Again: This Chart/Info Will Blow Your Mind

^^^ JFC that image alone!

Sorry that the article is a LinkedIn post. I verified what I could, source links and all, and found no problems. But I probably know less than 20% of what's there. Maybe a real expert here on TrumpRussia can look through some more.

There's soooo much Trump involvement from before the election alone in both the US and in Russia, that it's making me feel really bad for Mueller & his team. It will probably take a full team of 50+ and a maybe a decade or more to sort everything out.

China lecturing Trump & Kim this morning is hilarious. Take THAT you two narcissistic babies.

FBI agents raided the Alexandria home of President Trump’s former campaign chairman late last month, using a search warrant to seize documents and other materials, according to people familiar with the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Federal agents appeared at Paul Manafort’s home without advance warning in the predawn hours of July 26, the day after he met voluntarily with the staff for the Senate Intelligence Committee.

I assume your average WaPo reader understands that a search warrant requires probable cause.

In addition to that, isn't this task the responsibility of the Department of Energy, which at last report, I believe, was understaffed, underfunded, and headed by Rick-I want to abolish the DOE, but can't remember its name much less explain what it does-Perry.

Just all the- every time you- whenever you're think- he's always just attacking and attacking, all the time really. The biggest, maybe, one of the biggest warmongers ever, this Gandhi.

It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for him.
The problem is that Trump has no clue that it's not possible, so it a near certainty that he doesn't realize other governments might know better.

WTF did Manafort say that was so alarming that Judiciary Committee Dems ran right to Mueller with complaints? And this puts Grassley in a pretty hot seat like Nunes, no?

Trump's threat to North Korea was entirely improvised and took aides by surprise

LOL

Quote:
President Trump delivered his “fire and fury” threat to North Korea on Tuesday with arms folded, jaw set and eyes flitting on what appeared to be a single page of talking points set before him on the conference table at his New Jersey golf resort.

The piece of paper, as it turned out, was a fact sheet on the opioid crisis he had come to talk about, and his ominous warning to Pyongyang in was entirely improvised, according to several people with direct knowledge of what unfolded. In discussions with advisers beforehand, he had not run the specific language by them.

The inflammatory words quickly escalated the confrontation with North Korea to a new, alarming level and were followed shortly by a new threat from North Korea to obliterate an American air base on Guam. In the hours since, the president’s advisers have sought to calm the situation, with Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson assuring Americans that they “should sleep at night” without worrying about an imminent war.
Amazing

I think that's way overreading the timeline, we don't know they got the warrant after the testimony.

****er is indefensible. His level of thinking is "I wonder what this button does?". #strategy

I can't find details on their methodology, but something is fishy in the latest Rasmussen numbers. The last four days of numbers have Approval + Disapproval = 98%. All previous days going back to Jan 20 had Approval + Disapproval = 100% or, very rarely, 99% (presumably because of a rounding error). Did they change methodology midstream now that Daddy Trump's numbers are in the toilet?

Trump hoping Manafort had some of that acid Hillary used.

Does anyone know when Trump decided on a 17 day vacation? How about "WH rennovations", same time? Also, who was behind the idea of renovations?

The reason I'm asking is because, as premature as it sounds, I partly expected any news of a raid to be at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave during Trump's "vacation" period*. I'm curious to know what relationship there might be between the decisions above and the request for all WH records on Mike Flynn.

There was also a report yesterday that I don't think made the thread yet. The Trump campaign turned over 20,000 records on Flynn. If there's one thing I would bet my house on, it's that those are 20,000 non-incriminating documents. With everything Mueller has on Mike Flynn, it's gotta be another sure bet that there were at least lots of omissions and, given how bad these guys are**, possibly even alterations.

*It's a vacation, in quotes. And not because he played golf instead of working. That's just the public story. He had the whole golf club rearranged for SCIF(s) and other private meeting rooms spontaneously created. The media is being kept at least 12 miles away, and strange foreign guests were flying in like crazy the first day or two. Who knows what level of Russians were there and what was being discussed? Other US Presidents had cameras and press with them all the time. But this group's constant secrecy is beyond annoying. Whenever the real story comes out later, it's always incredibly deceptive at a minimum all the way up to criminal, possibly even treasonous.

**I'm using that phrase hesitantly, only because some of these things are required when your administration's #1 rule is to admit nothing.

Supposedly the renovations were planned under Obama.
08-09-2017 , 01:43 PM
Not sure I'm buying it. If you watch the video it looks pretty clear that he's reading from cue cards when he's giving the FIRE AND FURY hot take.
