I'm interested in the Russia stuff because I think Trump was involved in plenty of criminal money laundering and FCPA violations, which Muller will find. I think Russia had a negligible effect on the elections--Fox News and the whole BS GOP apparatus are to blame for that.

What irritates me about Our Houses' posts--and I'm fully on board with the Browder/Magnisky stuff--is that this is not a team of above average intellects implementing some devious plan. I don't know how it ends, but I'm not that concerned because I know it doesn't end well for either Trump or the GOP.

Hell, half to 2/3 of the Republicans in Congress are already dreaming about President Pence, though they are rightfully concerned what happens to the party when Trump crashes and burns.

He had an interesting interview on NPR where he basically spun the Hilbilly Elegy as an explanation for how Trump won and bemoaned Trump's lack of comportment and ofc made virtually no mention of racism as a motivating power behind Trumpmania. I think in 2020 the GOP establishment is going to try to a candidate who has all of Trump's bigoted policy positions on immigration, voting rights, Muslim bans, etc., but who's super polite and presidential about it.

But its the non-politically-correct delivery that really appeals to Trumpkins. I think Trump is obviously unique in American politics and his act will be a very hard one to follow. A standard politician, polite or otherwise, just wouldn't be able to pull it off. If anyone is going to run on Trump ideals, I think it would be someone from the talk-radio/tv pundit universe like an O'Reilly or Hannity. But I don't see that as likely because I don't think they share Trump's narcissism or lust for power.
