Who claimed this? Obviously I could get sick. I was able to pay $30 for my very high deductible insurance at a young age with BCBS. It was very good catastrophic coverage. I now can't even buy that type. I have to pay $300/month from some **** one-star company. Literally. And that's the only option. If I had a huge family I'd be pissed. I've read from people who are paying $2k/month. They better be making a lot of money.

So I'm now getting worse coverage than I had in the past and spending 10x as much. If I got sick in the past, that $30 would have covered it. It'd be a bit more now, but not much. Instead of choosing from literally hundreds of different policies, I have a grand total of one carrier I can choose. Thanks, Obama! Nice signature achievement! People really love it!

It wasn't a scam. I was young and it was catastrophic. I was happy to pay $10k and anything that was cheaper than that. I would be delighted if I could get that now. Instead of being forced to pay for some total nightmare of a company. Literally one star. One choice.
