Good point about the paycheck donation—he's not getting a dime. Believe the salary is quite a bit higher than $100k. Maybe it comes in installments. I hope the latter accomplishment is included in the list.

Touche. I can say confidently it is a ruse. Here's how confident I am that Russia is a ruse. I love my life. I have a decent amount of money and loved ones. I am so confident that:

Reality bites. That's how insurance works. Some pools are healthier than others. The ObamaCare pool is a **** pool because it only has

1. Healthy self-employed people, some of whom can't afford to be self-employed if they have families (due to the now obscene expense/limited choice/non-competitive market)
2. Sick, disease ridden people who are too sick to work full-time, yet making enough to not be on Medicaid

Insurance carriers recognize that pool for what it is and price accordingly. Group #1 finances Group #2.
