I'm very genuinely glad that disaster has been avoided for many American citizens. But I gotta add that looking from the outside, the last two days are funny as hell.

If I understand things correctly, Toby Ziegler said Leo Mcgarry cock-blocked him and is a paranoid schizo? That show would have been so much better today

Healthcare wasn't ever a major headline on their site today at any point either. It's been pretty much buried all morning

Now do we get to stop pretending McConnell is a genius?

Oh come on, it was beautiful. Just enjoy him as the hero he is.

That is correct, however earlier we had just a crazy guy. Now we have a crazy guy that is wounded.

If McCain really said: "wait for the show" beforehand I'm giving him a little props at least.

True and it was likely inevitable that he would be wounded at some point.

Doesn`t a declaration of war require approval from the house or senate?

One of the understated best parts of this whole thing--Heller is on record as voting for this. He hurt himself badly for NOTHING. Love it.

bigt2k4: I would think so, however there are probably alot of norms or conventions not written in law that can be stepped over to provoke things and there is likely even some support for war. Im not saying this will happen, im just describing a possible path for him.

Indeed, but he can provoke a situation somewhat easily where a declaration of war or military engagement will seem natural.

Hell, Bush did it with a country that wasn't even belligerent with us.

It's just a matter of time for some Trump rage tweets at McCain.

Is he legitimately more scared of losing a primary than losing the general?

He's probably ****ed either way, but he seems much more ****ed this way.

Which is what he should do.

But there's a difference between what he will do and should do.

Can't
Imagine
Anything worse happening than a decision being made to attack North Korea. Let's hope some of our country's very best are monitoring this closely and have a plan to act before this happens if signs appear it's imminent.

As far as war goes, there's still exansion Afghanistan as a possibility. Trump has been meeting with contractors and mining and chemical companies to discuss the trillion dollars worth of mineral deposits there.
