Its like praising a guy who shot you because he applied pressure and waited for an ambulance. "I might have died otherwise!"

He's a hero today.

Imagine the world this morning if he voted yes

What odds would you guys give Scaramucci at some point stating that he's seen it and Trump's dick is even bigger than his own?

Lead story on National Review is currently "Canada: The Left's Mirage".

He gets some credit. More for the Commodus thumbs down thing. He's still terrible of course.

Unsurprisingly based on the source it's pure trash.

Why can't the American right figure out that our Liberals have the perfect mix of policy, slight fiscal conservative and major social liberal.

Reince didnt leak the mooch finances btw, it was publicly available at ExIm bank according to the journalist. Not sure if that is mentioned.

Don't get me wrong, I haven't turned into a McCain slappy overnight. This doesn't balance the scale, he still is an awful human being, but he did manage to do something right that will save lives.

This bill was herpes aids. It was never passing. I'm just happy to see Turtle Mans sad face. The tear he shed on the floor was one of the greatest moments in Senate history imo.

Ofc hes still a republican. However about a month ago on a floor vote he killed a repal of an obama era environmental regulation in anger. In this case trump is so divisive to his own party that he makes them go ahead and not ruin the environment.

A local newspaper here went with the mooch quote in the headline with cock as c--k. lol

Kids and olds read that. I'm sure it will be Dems fault somehow but still.

I think unfortunately there exists a real way for trump out of his russia problems, and that is to go to war with north korea and claim emergency powers. This is one of the paths you can go to consolidate powers by reversing into authoritarianism. Erdogan did this with the failed coup and have been purging the administrative gouvernment since then. He needs congress to grant him these powers but in a war things can get hectic. So if he or his family faces severe enough legal problems or his presidency is at stake it can be a path for him out of it, depending on how desperate he is. The pardon power i think can be bypassed in some ways by clever prosecutors so its not all that safe for him, for example many crimes have both a federal and a state element to them and he cant pardon state crimes.

I agree with this tho, like it's kind of annoying that he gets celebrated for doing the right thing after getting off his ass to put you in this position in the first place but it's much much better than him voting yes this morning.

This has happened countless times throughout history, from the beginnings of representative government in the French Revolution right up until now.

Fox News doesn't like the Mooch, loves Sessions and is not talking about Obamacare.

It depends whether you take politics to be a zero sum game at this point or not.

Sadly, I've pretty much resigned to taking politics as a zero sum game until Trump is dead and gone (quite possibly literally), so therefore the worst case scenario for the other side is by definition the best case scenario for our side. And this is very much the worst case scenario for Republicans and Trump. Far, far worse than McCain being unable to travel to DC and the Dems then becoming the focus of blame; far worse than McCain shutting this down Tuesday and the Senate goes back to the drawing board.

Yeah, this has been a major concern since well before the election.

The problem is he objects to the process but then participated in it. I realize in this case voting against proceeding is one of the things he was railing against but he could have derailed this crap show a while ago.
