Anyone else? I'm not including the EU because they were the ones making a fuss about the ambassador.
I wouldn't put Russia in the "on notice" category but they got a bit of a dressing down at the UN today.

What that article doesn't mention is that Anwar al-Walaki was a U.S. citizen and his 16 year old son, who was also a U.S. citizen, was killed too. It created quite a bit controversy but was the right call.

So Fascism doesn't bother you? It's OK to kill US citizens if they are deemed enemies of the state? You know, because daddy was a terrorist? Would it have been OK to execute Lee Harvey Oswald's family when JFK was killed?

I never meant to condone the fact that his son was killed, that's obviously horrible.

edit: In the case Anwar al-Awlaki (the dad), kill him.

No but killing off Ted Cruz would've been OK.

Russia?!?!?! wat

You could probably include the United States of America in the list of "on notice" countries.

Oh and I forgot China, obviously.

Yea I replied to your first post w/o realizing you had already cleared that up. Sorry.

Trump voters also continue to refuse to believe in the sincerity of those protesting him. 48% think the folks who protested at airports across the country last weekend were paid to do so by George Soros, to only 31% who think the protesters weren't paid. Trump voters thought the women's marchers were all paid by Mr. Soros as well so clearly the Trump administration is going to be very expensive for him.
Quote:
The attitudes of Trump voters on the issue of the order being a Muslim ban are telling. 71% claim they don't think the intent of the executive order was to ban Muslims from entering the country, to 23% who say that was the intent. But then when you ask Trump voters what their feelings on banning Muslims from the country are, they support it. 48% of Trump voters support banning Muslims from entering the country, to 40% who are opposed. So they say it's not a Muslim ban, but they want a Muslim ban, and 94% of them support the order.
Soros is going to be broke by the end of 4 years.

Also Trump voters reeeallyy hate Muslims.

So trump eased sanctions on Putin/Russia, but hey, gave him a good tongue lashing at the UN. Not doubt Putin is reeling from that...

A reminder that most Trump voters are hopelessly brainwashed idiots. I mean, is there any other way to interpret this? Jesus.

You mean brainwashed racists.

I certainly could. Antisemitism appeals to the Stormfront segment of the conservative alliance, but the idea that non conservatives are just agitators looking for a quick buck and power, not out of any sincere belief, is as old as Reconstruction. Paid protesters is just another variation on the theme. If it's not Soros it's black race hustlers or someone else.

The Israel settlements thing is bizarre. Seems most likely Kushner behind it? Maybe Trump is sick of seeing Bannon get credit/blame in the media so he decided to listen to Kushner for a change.
02-02-2017 , 10:04 PM
Am I remembering correctly that Kushner had business interests in the settlements?

Kushners' donations to settlements include small sum to a radical yeshiva in Yitzhar that has served as a base for violent attacks against Palestinian villages and Israeli security forces.

So Trump goes: "so Steve, u re telling me Israel are the Jews?"
Steve: "yes Donnie"
Trump: "we don't like Jews right?"
Steve: "ehhhh..."

It's not that they're necessarily idiots, it's just that they're absolutely willing to repeat a lie if benefits their political goals. Someone posted this already, but remember that WaPo article from last week where Trump voters were shown photos of Trump's inauguration crowds versus Obama's? Trump voters were willing to flat out lie that the pictures with the bigger crowds had to be from Trump's inauguration.

The fact of the matter is that they want an authoritarian strongman who will punish groups they don't belong to. That's the whole game, full stop. It's why they enjoy seeing coastal elites get mad at things the Republican Party does. They know that group won't be actually be hurt by government policies, so seeing them get upset has to suffice. On the other hand, they know black folks being jailed and Muslims being banned can and will happen, and that was the two main things Trump promised.

Every single other thing is just window dressing. Russia? They hated it until Trump told them not to. Supply side economics? Loved it until Trump told them we need tariffs. Estate tax? Worst thing ever, now not a peep about it. The only constant is making sure others are hurt.

That's the reason why there's been more push back by Trump supporters against DeVos than anything else he's done. They know she's going to loot the public schools they work for and send their kids to. It'll hurt them worse than it'll hurt minorities. They absolutely know that. That's the one thing they didn't sign up for.

I'll never understand why people want an authoritarian figure in charge. Not a single person alive likes a boss that is an overbearing ******* do it my way or the highway type.

I don't understand this either. Maybe some people want to feel like there is someone taking care of them, like when kids are little and think their parents can solve anything?
