I get that it would be nice to defend the human dignity of transgender people and all, but there are unfortunately bigger fish to fry here. If you allow Trump to use ****ting on some minority group or other as a distraction, then that will become his go-to strategy and he will keep doing it.

The mileage that right wing media gets out of these issues is incredible. Tons of people get convinced that Democrats are trying to let sexual predators loose in the bathrooms of America to terrorize the heartland's innocent virgins.

The backlash has had real consequences. All of these so call "bathroom" bills also make it explicitly legal for employers to fire gay employees. I suppose that fighting for equal rights for all Americans is the right thing to do, but if the consequences of failure are so great then maybe it's not always worth the risk.

On Wednesday evening, the Department of Justice moved to undermine rights for LGBTQ people to ensure they are treated fairly in the workplace. The department filed a brief arguing that prohibition of sex discrimination under federal law does not include the prohibition of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

Explain?

Did I miss the part where being transgender forces you to announce it to everyone you meet? Does anyone actually think this "ban" going to stop transgendered individuals from enlisting if they really want to join the military?

What did you think I would say?

"Oh, well if it affects MY kid then I absolutely demand that everyone else change their thought process to accommodate them."

Wat? That's not how life works.

Funniest thing about it is that Inso is way too much of a coward to say anything remotely close to what he's said here in real life. Because deep down he knows his opinions are those of a simple bigot.

If nothing happened under Obama, congrats because you just destroyed Trump's presidency. Almost everything he does is undoing Obama.

Seriously 9 year olds spell better than that(he spells "seem" and "house" wrong!), but despite the fact his spelling is absolute dog**** his sentence structure and general composition of the letter is quite good. He also knows you hyphenate words that go between lines, though he does it with like a huge ****ing margin to spare. That's an adult trying to write a child's letter.

DOJ: Ex-Manafort Associate Firtash Is Top-Tier Comrade of Russian Mobsters
The Department of Justice has identified a former business associate of ex-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort as an "upper-echelon [associate] of Russian organized crime."

The declaration came in a 115-page filing as part of the government's case against Dmytro Firtash, a Ukrainian oligarch who was once involved in a failed multimillion-dollar deal to buy New York's Drake Hotel with Manafort, and an important player in the Ukrainian political party for which Manafort worked.

...

In 2008, according to court records, Manafort's firm was involved with Firtash in a plan to redevelop the Drake Hotel for $850 million. Firtash's company planned to invest more than $100 million, the records say.

One of the other partners working with Manafort on the deal was the former exclusive broker for Fred Trump's properties, Brad Zackson. Fred Trump is the now-deceased father of Donald Trump.

Palace intrigue time! White House Aides Think Trump Will Let Sessions Stay, for Now

Quote:
For a week, some of President Trump’s top aides have tried to talk him down from his public campaign against Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Not only was it exposing tensions within the administration, it was stirring consternation with the conservative base and setting off a major revolt among Senate Republicans incensed over the treatment of a former colleague.

By Wednesday afternoon, just hours after the president’s latest broadside against the attorney general, several officials said they thought the storm had passed: Mr. Trump would let Mr. Sessions stay in office, at least for now. If he was going to fire the attorney general, they said, he would have already done so. But his anger was deep, they added, and nothing was certain when it came to the volatile president.
Quote:
For the White House, the attacks on the attorney general have touched off a serious problem on Capitol Hill when it did not need any others. Senate Republicans who almost never link arms in unison against a president from their party formed a cordon around Mr. Sessions, making it clear that they neither concurred with nor would tolerate Mr. Trump’s repeated threats to the attorney general’s tenure. Senate leaders made clear they would block Mr. Trump from replacing Mr. Sessions if he tried to do so during the coming recess.
