Trump vs Sessions is pure entertainment. Not sure how it plays with the Bannon wing--which hates the Mooch and loves Sessions. Bannon said Mooch would be appointed over his dead body. Sessions was Bannon's guy and Stephen Miller worked for Sessions. Also, the Mercer's are fans of Sessions.

Also, incidentally, there's supposed to be a wall between Pres and AG on criminal matters. At the very least as a post-watergate reform so president doesn't abuse his authority. Here Trump is literally directing AG to institute political investigation. I assume every fbi agent and asst US atty is aware of this, so Trump is also alienating all of them, even if they dislike Sessions.

Basically, it seems like Trump's general strategy is to open another front in the war whenever he's taking losses, and now he's fighting like a 6 front war. Four more months like this and gop will be itching to impeach.

His stupidity is almost boundless. Someone told him that he can't fire Mueller unless he gets rid of Sessions and Rosenstien, but that's like first step in an extremely risky and difficult process that would be the political equivalent of a suicide bombing. Man, he's just plain loco.
