I don't think it's that simple. Nah, scratch that. I don't think it's
possible for anybody involved to tell the truth. There are a ton of people who appear to be moving in unison over anything Russia related. That's not to say they're completely coordinated, because we can see conflicting stories and accounts. What we don't ever see, from ANYONE in the WH or cabinet or GOP, is an admission of anything at the heart of the matter (Russian coordination). People
are willing to confess to things on the fringe, but it's always a good 2-3 steps removed. At least in public. We're unaware of what Mueller or the committees have pieced together. It's probably also safe to say that Trump gets reports on the classified Congressional hearings from Rs, but not a PEEP out of the Special Counsel investigation. I'm sure this bothers Trump to no end.
So yeah, pardons can be issued for top guys and family. But is Trump willing to issue like 50 or 100 pardons/admissions of guilt/waived 5th Amendments? I don't see how his personal and family pardons can survive all of that either in the SCOTUS or through indictments at the State level.
Then we have the issue of the dozens and dozens of Russians involved on the other side. They won't be happy with people who talk and give the top ones up. Especially Vladimir Putin. There is a bunch of blackmail going on (we don't know exactly who, or how widespread it is, or whose families are involved, etc. but we can tell from known facts, testimonies, and public actions that it's a hell of a lot more than just Trump who are scared to death of this conspiracy's direct exposure).
Trump is ****ed badly no matter what, and he doesn't have to be a brain surgeon to know that. It's also his own fault from long before he started running for POTUS.
