Yeah "CEO compensation is a joke" is not really an argument. It's certainly possible that companies are systemically overpaying their CEOs but:
1) this really only hurts the shareholders of the company, if true
2) I still don't see why we should regulate some bad strategic decision a company is making

How the heck did Melissa Mayer earn 300 plus million at yahoo? Guys lose hundreds of millions by mismanagement and walk away with obscene fortunes.

Marissa Mayer specifically but that is not really an argument that CEOs are overpaid.
