You just described their business model.

The FOX website thing is almost certainly their automated spam filter at work and not deliberate censorship. In the video I posted with Shep Smith and Chris Wallace, Wallace mentions the part of the emails that refer to Russian government support of Trump, so while the network obviously wants to downplay that side of it, they haven't stooped to censorship.

spam filter for what?
07-15-2017 , 10:14 PM
The underlying predicate of both Trumpcare and Trump/Russia is Fox News' eagerness to lie to grassroots conservatives every prime time.

The underlying ecosystem of dingbat white people identity politics makes the whole machine possible.

If some users spam post the same long string over and over, the software may automatically block all comments with the string.

Fox has that "government's support" line multiple places on their website, e.g.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017...t-to-know.html

so it seems highly conspiritardial to say they're trying to hide it from their users in comments threads.

Would spam filters still display the message to the spammer? Legit question, I have no idea how they are usually set up.
07-15-2017 , 10:22 PM
I have no idea how they're set up either, but from posting comments on other websites, I have had that happen, where I can see my own comment but others can't.

So DJT campaign cash going to Don Jrs legal fees. Will other campaign workers who are now in WH get same treatment? If not, will they be resentful and maybe leak/bad-mouth those who do? Who is going to be the heroic bridgegate figure who encouraged illegality and then flipped, leading to a mother of 3 doing time?

TRUMP COWER Donald Trump begs Theresa May to fix a ‘warm welcome’ for his state visit – and says he won’t set a date for it until he knows he’s going to get ‘a better reception’

That selfie pic with the celebs was from this (?) year's Oscars during live transmission. Easy to verify.

(spoilers: it's fake.)

The US President made his shameless plea in a private conversation with Theresa May to plan his state visit — now postponed until next year.

Two million people signed a petition calling for Mr Trump’s proposed trip to be axed.

A transcript of the chat, seen by senior diplomats, reveals his touchiness. Mr Trump says: “I haven’t had great coverage out there lately, Theresa.”

She replies awkwardly: “Well, you know what the British press are like.”

I am deeply concerned about Senator John McCain’s blood clot.

I am deeply concerned that an unforeseen illness might delay the Senate from debating taking healthcare away from people.

This concerns me deeply.

Holy Trump projection! You know how he's always projecting in his tweets? I just saw a segment on John Oliver with Trump campaigning in Pennsylvania...

He introduced the concept of Hillary rigging the election, but went even further. He said the only way she could win Pennsylvania was if they cheated to help her in certain parts of the state.

That's pretty bad, even for him.

Poll finds Trump’s standing weakened since springtime
The president’s overall approval rating has dropped to 36 percent from 42 percent in April, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. His disapproval has risen five points to 58 percent. Overall, 48 percent say they “disapprove strongly” of President Trump’s performance in office, a level never reached by former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama and reached only in the second term of George W. Bush.
April 7 Syria bombing
April 13 MOAB bombing

You don't think it odd that the WAPO compares today's popularity against his popularity spike that happened when he let the bombs loose?

Guys when you look at it in the correct context, 36% is actually a really good approval rating.
07-16-2017 , 06:35 AM
Jesus, did trumps approval ratings really spike after those bombings? Like the most widely reported on bombings of the last 6 months or so? what the **** is wrong with us?

I prefer to think, "wtf is wrong with them?"

Also, keep in mind, the 6-8% that jumped on after the bombings are still probably morally better than the 34-36% that have supported him all along.

poco: April was the last time they conducted a poll.

Well 36% is an outlier. I wonder also if the deterioration of trust in the mainstream media has skewed polls to appear more anti-Trump than they should. Iirc, most polls will scale so that Republicans are represented in the proper proportion, but they could not control for MAGA chuds abstaining at a higher rate than SeattleLou type Republicans.

Do pollsters announce their affiliations when they call? Saying you're a WaPo poll versus a Fox News poll seems like it could skew the results bigly. The latest Fox poll (from June) has Trump at 44% approval, 50% disapproval among registered voters.
