Everyone at the G20 is talking about the Russian Military's sudden interest in poor Russian babies being denied good Democratic homes in the US.

Lul did something I never do and browsed front page of Drudge and Breitbart, sure enough they aren't reporting at all about new developments in the Trump Jr meeting. People so aggressively seeking to live in an alternate reality, amazing really

Just heard on msnbc or cnn (been flipping back and forth on Sirius) that the voter fraud commission? released public comments WITH all the commentors personal information like email addresses and phone numbers.

The White House, under intensifying fire over its handling of the Russia investigations, is shaking up its legal team: It is bringing on board a veteran Washington criminal defense lawyer just as another high profile attorney bows out of representing a senior official who is in investigators’ cross hairs.

Ty Cobb, who has represented multiple figures in Washington scandals dating back to the Clinton administration, will be joining the White House staff at the end of this month as a special counsel to the president, charged with handling all legal and media related issues relating to the Russia probe, sources said.

At the same time, Jamie Gorelick, a politically well connected lawyer who has been representing Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, is dropping out of the case, turning over all responsibilities for the Russia investigation to Abbe Lowell, another high profile Washington criminal defense lawyer
"Ty Cobb wanted to play, but none of us could stand the son-of-a-***** when we were alive, so we told him to stick it!"

I don't see a huge problem with the media having an "off the record" conversation with the President. With Trump, anything is possible, but with most normal officials, such discussions are often about things that are going to be on the record soon enough. For example, he may want to alert newsrooms to be staffed more heavily on a Saturday morning because of a military operation they'll be doing and discussing. Or he may want to give a heads up that they've identified a leaker and a statement is going to be issued in the late night hours. If reporters say no to an off-the-record conversation, they may be caught with their pants down later.

In this case, I thought I heard that a lengthy conversation was off-the-record and that the White House selectively released some information from it later. That's pretty unusual, but its not likely that anything released is going to get much attention. Like in a speech, some comments are newsworthy, some end up on the cutting room floor in the analysis afterwards. I kinda doubt that the media is sitting on any off-the-record bombshells from Trump, but who knows.

https://apnews.com/dceed1008d8f45afb...'s-meeting
In his first public interview about the meeting, Akhmetshin said he accompanied Veselnitskaya to Trump Tower where they met an interpreter who participated in the meeting. He said he had learned about the meeting only that day when Veselnitskaya asked him to attend. He said he showed up in jeans and a T-shirt.

During the meeting, Akhmetshin said Veselnitskaya brought with her a plastic folder with printed-out documents that detailed what she believed was the flow of illicit funds to the Democratic National Committee. Veselnitskaya presented the contents of the documents to the Trump associates and suggested that making the information public could help the Trump campaign, he said.
nothing to see here, just a russian intelligence officer and moscow-connected lawyer bringing highly sensitive government documents to trump tower in secret. not memorable at all.

^^ related to above:
Russian-American at Trump Jr. meeting is ex-military officer
Akhmetshin denied suggestions made in media reports, congressional letters and litigation that he is a former officer in Russia’s military intelligence service known as the GRU

...

Akhmetshin, a naturalized American citizen who has lived in Washington since the early 1990s, and Veselnitskaya were known for lobbying efforts to undercut the Magnitsky Act

...

In a separate case in New York, he described his business as “strategic communications” with clients including national governments and high-ranking officials of those governments. Disclosure of his communications, he said, could put lives at risk.

i like that russian sanctions are stalled in the house because it shows that lots of republicans think trump is a true russian agent/puppet and want to work with him politically

combining the bernie's wife investigation with hillary's campaign.

I'm not well-versed on American politics. So is this going to amount to anything at all? What are the odds that Trump is going to be impeached for this?

Found it. Her body language and everyone's facial expressions tell it all. Trump needs to stop this woman from defending him.

Trump could take a dump in my mouth and I'd defend it.

so back when I said is that all now jared responding to his adding 100 people to that clearance form.

Still none of at least the russian people in that meeting are on that list.
07-14-2017 , 07:51 PM

Gotta give Shep and Chris Wallace credit for at least trying.
07-14-2017 , 07:53 PM
Another expert on one of the shows also pointed out that not only do they fill out the form but they get interviewed twice. So form plus 2 interviews. Just updating the form is not sufficient if they FBI thinks you were not truthful. Should not have clearance. Easily could be a felony to lie in those interviews.

Actually it was off the record and then trump was upset that the media would not report on parts of it he wanted released. When that happened then the whitehouse started releasing the bits they wanted.

It was totally wacko behavior by a president and his staff.
