So who in the Obama administration gave her the special permission to enter the USA? We'll see what the affidavit states I suspect soon enough.
lol, too good.

The ONE THING Adios wonders about is how the Obama administration could let this happen. He has no other questions about what happened here.

i literally posted this exact thing last night watching fox news at like 1 AM that fox is pivoting to WHY DID OBAMA LET THIS LAWYER IN. also WHO IN THE FBI AND CIA IS BEHIND THIS. adios and every other suburban republican is getting their talking points from fox news there it is very obvious. the sad part is these aren't even the rabid trumpins these are the ****ing republicans in suburban areas who have good incomes that hillary tried to get. shows how dumb that strategy is. for as often as adios gets dunked on you have to keep in mind he is actually somehow one of the *informed* republicans. guarantee you my grandpa is sitting on his couch right now wondering why the hell obama and the DNC and some dastardly democrat backed group called fusion did this to poor donald jr

maybe it was game over ages ago, we wont know until muellergasm

It's still not clear they'll actually admit to anything of import. It obviously stinks and is further circumstantial evidence that there was a conspiracy, but seems short of demonstrating it. They can say that meeting a Russian person isn't illegal, nor is even meeting someone who is linked to the Russian government - at least I don't think so and don't know why it should be, but happy to be corrected.

Then they can say that the Russian government could have information about Hilary Clinton it obtained legally, given one presumes she had contact with them as Secretary of State. They further claim that Trump Jr would have noped out of any dodgy business, and in fact they brought nothing at all.

I wouldn't believe that explanation for a second, and it's incredible stupidity and poor judgement to have been involved even if it is true, but it's easily the fig leaf these people require. As Dvaut has posted they just accept that they were willing to get help from Russia. They're our friends now etc.

The Trumps were simply barnstorming America, trying to make it great again after all of Obama's messes, and scam artist swamp politicians Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton set Russian trolls loose on Trump to make him look guilty. Hopefully we can put this shameful Democrat behavior behind us and unite behind Donald Trump, for the good of everyone.

From a purely legal point of view, which doesn't matter at all, I've heard reports that even this would be illegal.

The information is clearly valuable and could have a dollar figure attached to that value. Foreign Governments can't give financial assistance to campaigns.

So both Fox News and Breitbart are covering this whole thing...that's good, right?

Like clockwork:

Quote:
Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT) said on Tuesday that Donald Trump Jr. deserves “credit” for releasing emails leading up to his June 2016 meeting with a Kremlin-linked lawyer with alleged damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
Quote:
“I have to give him credit and I thank him, you know, thank you for releasing these emails, for doing it, you know, very quickly. It gives you and I and the media and those of us on the committee a chance to really digest them. I think that was a good, positive step.”
After a year of furious and aggressive denials wherein they called everyone a liar for suggesting it, I'd like to give praise to the Trump campaign for very quickly releasing these emails.

Philip Bump at the Post just flagged this Trump speech from June 7th, four days after Don Goldstone’s first contact with Don Jr and two days before the meeting at Trump Tower on June 9th.

Trump promises big news about Hillary Clinton’s crimes in a speech on “probably” June 13th.”

I felt just a tinge of this from Lindsey Graham's "what is equally odd to me is that the person they met with knew absolutely nothing. So I don't know why they would pick somebody that didn't have information on the Clinton campaign."

The story itself is complete insanity, but the meta-story is possibly even bigger. Who are the sources for these stories? It's either someone non-Trump affiliated in the White House or maybe these emails have been obtained by Congress or Mueller or law enforcement and someone leaked them. In any of those cases, the identity of the leaker (or, apparently, multiple leakers) is a really big story.

Kakistocracy (pronounced \kak-uh-STAH-kruh-see\) means “government by the worst people.” It comes from the Greek root kakistos, which means “worst,” the superlative form of kakos, which means “bad.” The word seems to have been coined in English of Greek parts; the ending -cracy, familiar in English words like democracy and meritocracy, comes from the Greek ending -kratia, derived from kratos meaning “strength” or “power.”

In this case, though, didn't the Trumps cavort with a British tabloid journalist who arranged for a meeting between a Russian government official based on the tip from some Azerbaijani reality TV star?

If you start with the assumption the Trumps run a tight ship and only interact with the best people, I can see how this is perplexing.

When you take potentially criminal meetings arranged via tabloid journalist and reality show intermediaries, I think these kind of leaks are frankly inevitable.

It's hard to tell, but it doesn't seem like anyone outside the WH other than Goldstone would have had the email.

Don Jr. probably forwarded the email to his fraternity buddies and cc'ed the moderators of /r/The_Don to excitedly tell them he was about to have Clinton nailed. Notice how Donald Trump ostensibly starts telling audiences in speeches during the period between the initial contact and the meeting that he's about to reveal serious Clinton crimes.

Like the leaks are the least surprising part of this story. These people are ****ing idiots, they probably had a listserv where they pooled their emails documenting their crimes so they could publish it as a tell-all after the campaign and invited the major editors of tabloid and right-wing newssites to start ghostwriting the book for them.

Who knows, I'm obviously being facetious to an extent. But that then candidate Trump starts blustering about a big crime reveal coming up soon right after they schedule this meeting just shows how deeply stupid these idiots are and there's no reason to think it even occurred to them they should be operating with some subtly.

I think somebody mentioned that the Russians were basically using this lawyer as a test to see how receptive the Trump campaign would be to this kind of collusion.
