Meanwhile, the only evidence we have that "nothing happened" at that meeting is Jr's word, after he changed his story 2 or 3 times as New evidence came out lol. Great argument Kellyanne has going for her. Weaksauce on top of weaksauce.

Yeah, I'm not buying it until he vehemently denies it.

I tried to get my mother to watch a documentary on Putin Saturday and she wouldn't do it because it would be too aggravating for her.

Think about that. What she is describing, without being aware of it, is the torment of cognitive dissonance. I remember hearing about some recent study showing 49% of Trumpkins think Russia is an ally. IIRC, it was about 15-20% before Trump came along.

The guy could literally convince his base that a red sky is blue. Lately, I've been seeing that push we were afraid of a month ago; namely that Democrats and MSM are trying to incite a war with Russia and the fat blond hero is using his talks with Putin to prevent it.

‘Opposition research’ and 6 other defenses of Donald Trump Jr.
Richard Painter, a former chief White House ethics lawyer under President George W. Bush, told MSNBC on Sunday that there is nothing normal about accepting an offer of assistance from someone with such close ties to a foreign power.

“We do not get our opposition research from spies,” Painter said. “We do not collaborate with Russian spies unless we want to be accused of treason. … The Bush administration never would have tolerated this, and if this story is true, we'd have one of them, if not both of them in custody by now, and we'd be asking them a lot of questions because this is unacceptable.”

Regular Dale Carnegie. Think of all the construction workers whom he just denied employment.

Why hasn't Trump fired Mueller already? Hint: It's not because he wants Mueller + 15 top pros to continue digging around his taxes, real estate, banking, and Russian connections, then storing multiple copies of their findings all around the country.

He knows there's a good chance he does get impeached if Mueller goes. He also has to know by now that he needs Rosenstein or someone else down the line to pull the trigger, and any action towards that will alert enough people that it could have the same effect.

The ONLY thing he has to be hoping for is that he (or Putin) will have enough power in the US that SNL "nothing matters" becomes the actual truth.

Try watching fox news. I had it on briefly earlier for a fair and balanced perspective and the story was that this russian lawyer was working for the DNC and it was a setup.

well, that and there won't ever be direct evidence of what people want there to be. I still think he's a dog to get impeached if he fires Mueller. It's a R congress and fox news and all RWNJ sites are gonna defend it.

Trump cancelled the plans because his pal didn't win the bid.

Yes, they're pushing russia war, which isn't what the people want, so the dems will have managed to **** this all up again when they don't gain from simply being "not trump".

Correct me if I'm wrong but to fire Mueller, either...
- Rosenstein has to do it, or
- Trump has to fire Rosenstein and replace him with someone who will do it, Saturday Night Massacre style?

I think he gets away with the former (if Rosenstein were to cave, which seems doubtful since he had the integrity to appoint Mueller in the first place?) but the latter is way worse PR-wise, dunno if Trump escapes unscathed from that.

chris matthews on point tonight. correctly pointing out that the only way trump's line wrt russia makes sense is if putin has leverage on him or his family. any other reading of what he's been saying and doing makes him look weird/dumb/legit insane, but if you assume trump has been working as a russian agent all his actions make sense

Right wing media has successfully convinced a huge portion of their base that higher education is bad, I think he can easily get away with both.

Are we ever going to learn how Patrick W Smith died, or are we supposed to stop being curious for fear of starting a conspiracy theory on the left? Cause I wanna know.

It doesn't even have to be murder for there to be funny business. What if the family is concealing a suicide that (known to them or not) was caused by being put in a really kompromising situation? Or something else.

So if it were natural causes at 81, how long is it usually held secret by everyone including local cops/investigators? Can't be forever, or else cover-ups would be way too easy, right?

He talked too much **** about Hillary. He helped normalize Trump by acting like Trump and Hillary were equal amounts of terrible. Instead of hammering trump about being a birther and climate change denier, he just said both candidates are crooked so vote for me. That's a scumbag move because he knew that Trump would be a disaster for humanity just like the rest of us did, but he put his narcissism before country. If you're truly nevertrump, then the correct play is to do everything you can to help Hillary win. He's just as culpable as the GOP.

Dude you really need to stop talking politics with your mom. It's bad for your health, and hers. It'll just get to the point where she says you're too smart to understand the truth, followed by her resenting you for using facts to make her wrong about things.

I know it's tough but you can do it. Just always be ready to change the subject. Good luck

Agalarov, an Azerbaijani pop star with self-proclaimed "rock star good looks and a clutch of international music awards", is the son of Azerbaijani-Russian billionaire Aras Agalarov and was once married to the daughter of the president of Azerbaijain, Illham Aliyev.

The Agalarov family has a history of ties to the Trump empire, including to Mr. Trump himself, who sent a personal message to the recording artist on his 35th birthday, which Emin re-posted after Mr. Trump's election win.

Oooh, I just realized a question that has to come up when Fredo goes under oath in front of committees and Grand Juries. Remember when he was bragging on camera about his Father's mega dealings with Russia? Well, he denied saying that recently. Should make an interesting discussion on the stand.

At least Eric had plausible deniability with his $100 million Russia funding brag because a reporter was only taking notes of their convo.

What McMuffin said about Clinton had ~0 to do with anyone deciding not to vote for Clinton. It was about maintaining credibility with the people who might conceivably be tempted from voting Trump to voting for McMuffin instead. Almost all of those people would've eaten a bullet before pulling the lever for Clinton. Denying Trump Utah was a noble aim, didn't work, too bad. **** McMuffin on general principles, sure, but on this specifically, your read is way off imo.
