Secy of State Tillerson: Russia and the US have the same objectives. Maybe they have the right approach and we don't.

Chris Wallace: ???

Reince P: He's clearly talking about Obama's red line in the sand and what a failure it was.

But the real point is that everyone is talking about John Podesta!

So Russia no big whooop.
It built steadily and MSM has fortunately kept their collective foot on the Russian gas pedal. Trumpcare became bigger for a little while, but this just changed over the last week, into the G19 and the Putin meeting and press releases.

At what approval rate % is it even feasible to consider impeachment/resignation? ive looked quickly at GWB approval rate numbers among republicans and they dont seem far off than those of Trump. Is there even a feeling (not just a wish) in the US that this atrocity might end before 2020?

Feels like it's not happening unless the Alzheimer's does him in.

Pence will be just as bad though and maybe the resistance is more effective against the orange doofus who can't stop tweeting **** that makes Lindsey Graham uncomfortable.

Pence wouldn't be as bad. He'd essentially be your generic Republican. And while that's bad, Trump is a different animal, and a very dangerous one.

Its funny that Trump doesn't understand health care, didn't grasp the climate change accord and can't figure out the proper technique to lobby for the travel ban, but when it comes to being a Putin slappy, he's right on point. All day every day. And it started long before hacking or the election results were even an issue.

The executive branch is a train wreck. With Pence, at least you could hope that all the vacant jobs will be filled and some of these nutty cabinet secretaries will be ousted. Trump is a pure catastrophe waiting to happen.

Maybe gorka and a small chance of tillerson b/c lol russia but that's it. He's full nutty board with the rest of them.

It's pretty sad if that is actually true. If Pence would be just as bad, who cares about Trump? Isn't Pence just a stereotypical conservative in today's America?

I think you are severly underestimating your country's situation if you think Pence would be just as bad.

There are pluses and minuses. We've been over this a lot. Trump is more likely to literally end the practice of anything like real elections in this country or end freedom of the press, etc. Pence is probably more likely to actually accomplish cutting Medicaid by $800B and throw 24 million people off of health care, etc. At this point Democrats would probably roll over for Pence, praising how he doesn't tweet.

Next G20 summit hosted by Saudi Arabia.

I think if the GOP passes a health care bill resembling what's on the table now, they will be cutting their own throats, and they know it. That's why nothing is happening on it, and they're even talking about working with Democrats now. They don't want to own health care, even if they say they do.

Meantime, I think Pence would make sure our allies are allies again and the bad players are bad players again. Trump continually disses our allies and embraces our adversaries. Plus, I think Bannon, Miller and obviously Ivanka and Jared are all gone if Pence takes over. We've survived garden-variety Republican administrations before. I'm not sure we can survive even one full term of Trump.

Could be, but one other point: Pence isn't really a garden variety Republican. He is both literally the hand picked choice of the Koch Brothers and he's essentially a Young Earth Creationist Christian Extremist.

(I know that's not really far from garden variety, but he's pushing the limits right now and given any historical perspective, he's an absolute extremist.)

I think the overriding issue now is which of them would be less likely to nuke a country, killing millions of people?

i like how republicans that are so concerned say that russia DID interfere with france's elections, where the pro-putin candidate lost by a bigly 2-1 margin, but they will only go so far as to say russia ATTEMPTED to interfere with our elections, being sure to say that russia was not successful and did not change votes, meanwhile the pro-putin candidate WON here by a super thin margin

"What we want to make sure is that we coordinate with Russia, that we're focused on cyber-security together" Nothing new there.

Expert cognitive dissonance. The single factor that would improve lives the most is access to healthcare. Not yours, I guess, you must have good insurance. I guess your life is most improved by defending the values of neo-Nazis against encroachment from the Other.

If it were really "attempted" meddling, McConnell wouldn't have taken the "keep this quiet as possible, or you're a dead man" stance with Obama months before the election last year.

You know what's spinning right now? Mueller. Mueller is spinning.

you would know what would be great? if a group of hero elves would go online to battle these evil trolls. (GERMANY, IF YOU'RE LISTENING, I HOPE YOU'RE ABLE TO HACK THE RNC AND ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES. I THINK YOU WILL PROBABLY BE REWARDED MIGHTILY BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.)

Trump’s lawyer: Comments about sexual harassment accusers shouldn’t be judged literally
During the campaign, Trump said the women who accused against him of inappropriately touching them were putting forward “made-up stories and lies” and “telling totally false stories.” Kasowitz argued those statements and others could not be considered defamatory but instead were “nothing more than heated campaign rhetoric designed to persuade the public audience that Mr. Trump should be elected president
