Maybe I am not remembering right, but wasn't it Franken's question that drew the perjury?

Yes but Sessions voluntarily put perjury in the pot. Franken could have rambled on about whatever- as long as the word Russia was in there, he was getting the same response.
07-04-2017 , 01:50 AM
Yeah it was beyond bizarre. Franken could have asked "how are you doing" and Sessions probably would have gone out of his way to commit perjury there. I guess a guilty conscious is a heavy weight.

Covfefe. Nothing was worse or more indicative of their unwillingness to be wrong than the WH's explanation for covfefe.

Typo? Nope. Prez fell asleep midway? Nope. These prescription drugs are getting to him? Nope.

It was a top secret code word that only a handful of people can understand! Yeah, that works!

It's worse than that. #covfefe has become a rallying cry among the Trumpkins. A modern 2 + 2 = 5.

According to Nielsen’s second-quarter ratings, MSNBC’s total viewers are up 73 percent year-over-year, with prime-time viewership up 86 percent, easily making it the fastest-growing cable news outlet.

Anchor Rachel Maddow has become a cultural icon on the left while also attracting a younger audience of viewers. MSNBC’s share of the coveted 25- to 54-year-old demographic grew 78 percent in prime time over last year. Its*prime-time audience has nearly tripled since second quarter of 2014.

A few interesting things happened overnight.

1) North Korea launched another missile. So much for respecting or fearing Trump. They are claiming it was an ICBM and we're investigating.

2) The Trump/Putin meeting has been changed from just being on the sidelines at G20, to a full bilateral meet. The news came out of the Kremlin first, which prompted the WH to tell us after,. Standard.

3) Putin issued a really strange statement for Russia. He said that they will be happy to work with China in trying to rein in North Korea. Obviously buttering up the Trump for Friday IMO.

It was weird. After your post, they had the number at 42. They said out of the remaining 8, 3 of them were willing to comply (but hadn't already) and there were 5 undecided.

Then maybe an hour later, they changed the banner to say 40+ States were opposed. Heh.

Also, about the NK missile test.

LOL @ Trump asking if KJU has anything better to do with his life. Dunno about you guys, but I wish he would stop publicly goading the other unhinged maniac with nuclear weapons.

Wrt "does this guy have anything better to do with his life?", uhhh, no? I think Trump has Kim Jong Un mistaken for a gossiping teenager.

What would a heavy move be, in Trump's view? Does he expect China to move on NK "like a *****?" What if Xi can't "get there?"

I keep hearing this information is "publicly available". If that's true, why are they having to ask for it?

Trial balloon to see which states will fall in line under dear leader's transgressive orders?

I think the biggest thing is it gives the commission credibility if the states are seen to cooperate. Even though it's humiliating that they're getting the finger, they will have some bull**** way of spinning it for the base.

I still say that when CNN had to issue that retraction they should have blamed the error on a 'bad case of covfefe'. I think some Trump bots' heads would've exploded.

Maybe the geniuses in the admin don't know how to obtain it despite the fact that it's public? Eh, I guess even they can't be that dumb.

On a more serious note, I thought (could be wrong here) that some of the info being requested was partial social security numbers. That can't be publicly available, can it?

lol at the shortsightedness of your view. MSNBC has cannibalized dying fox news and in turn has tarnished its own core brand with it leftist core fanbase. Its constant hysterics on Trump gets ratings but kills its credibility.

short term gain long term major loss, its predictable.

The issue isn't the typo, that's no big deal. The issue is why did they feel the need to lie about it?

It's like the default move of this White House in all situations is to head right away to bullsh*t. Why not just tell the truth?
