I mean if Gorsuch starts ruling in ways that are incompatible with the law I'll be right there with you but I don't think you can argue that any and all Supreme Court rulings are now affronts to the Constitution or whatever it is you are trying to say.

They already have. Unconstitutional Muslim ban in effect, with out even hearing the case that was ruled on by lower court.

With regard to the geographical distribution of Democrats, it should be a priority of the party to improve that through policy going forward. Investing in Sun Belt cities to create jobs for college graduates could lead to more House seats and eventually create a couple of swing states... Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Birmingham, Atlanta, etc... The same could work by trying to help mid-sized cities grow in other regions.

Well, it's absolutely impossible to call our democracy legitimate before 1920, pretty much impossible before 1964, and probably still impossible. It's probably a fair point to make though that it's been getting less legitimate for the last 8 years or so.

No rational argument can be made anymore that America is a force for good in the world.

He won, so if they get this, congrats. It'll suck for them as much as it will for all of us, if not more, but then hopefully we can move on and never try it again.
This is going to negatively impact every single person in the US. He will be declaring a trade war with the whole world. We all lose bigly.

I agree with awval on virtually nothing, but I confess that I also don't really understand what einbert wants people to do.

He is too practical, and has lived too long in the real world, to be a real libertarian, but I certainly understand why you would ask the question.

Elect Democrat in 2020, wait until January 2021, then bring over Khamel to go full Pelican Brief. Might as well start with Thomas, since he's been brain-dead for about two decades anyway.

we'll be in civil war well before 2020

lol at the agency here. Yep, those minorities somehow willingly self-segregated themselves into Midwestern cities. No better term to describe it. Not sure how this happened exactly, maybe some historian can look into it some day.

Even now, I can still puase, reflect and erupt into deep belly laughs and chuckles that Yanklandia did actually vote Trump in as President.

Hahaha its still amazing.

That said it is one of the biggest pieces of evidence supporting the I am actually in a coma theory that is simmering away on a very small ring on the back burner.

Or even worse when America elects someone even dumber, more obnoxious, and mean spirited and we all pine for the good old days of Trump like some people do now with Bush.
This is what people don't think about.

This change is forever. Donald Trump is merely a symptom. There'll be more like him coming immediately afterwards because his type of personality is now what resonates with Americans when evaluating politicians.

Anderson Cooper said Trump reportedly watches 5+ hours of TV per day!

Sort of...

The negative impact of Donald Trump will not doubt sting and lower the standard a great deal, but it won't be full force at least. We get a reprieve in the fact that there will be a tremendous amount of pressure to "remember what happened when Trump made this same stupid move" in a zillion varieties.

We sort of knew that already, but the really interesting story here is that there are ~3 people in Trump's inner circle who are willing to leak these embarrassing details to CNN.

I think Dershowitz is just a way smarter version of Dr. Ikes. Enjoys being contrarian for sport, thinking it makes him look better.

That or he and Trump were doing 12 year olds together on Epstein island.

Or both.

When have people ever learned anything from history?

No conflict of interest with the VP having the final say on such a thing.
