This guy.
McCain has been a total zero. He's "concerned" whenever something happens and "we're going to have to look into it and get more information" but, again, it's "disturbing to hear" and on and on. I haven't heard anything relevant, decisive, or noteworthy from him in a long time.

Absolutely WOW at that NRA ad. Apparently playing to the majority of their members' fantasy of opening up on a shrieking lib crowd and mowing down those cucks with a controlled, even, arcing spray of top-of-the-lie USA metal.

Our president is simple trash.

President Trump's Muslim Ban is now in effect. They have stolen the Executive branch, the Legislative branch is completely compromised, and they have stolen the Judicial branch of the federal government.

The Constitution no longer applies. The Supreme Court has been stolen and they've decided that it doesn't matter.

WH: voters "knew what they were getting" on msnbc rn. Was that supposed to be ominous sounding when she said it?

I think they've been sending lowkey signals for a while now to tell us "we've stolen your democracy and there's not a damn thing you can do about it."
06-29-2017 , 08:45 PM
I always thought Greta was really boring. How did she even get a show on fox in the first place? I guess because she was right wing-ish? She certainly wasn't Roger Ailes material.

It's funny that if she phrased it a little differently she could have said some version of "everybody knew they were getting a straight shooter" or some other bs, instead she went with the "you're all ****ed" version.

Gotta just love Jeffrey Lord defending Trump's attack on Mika, saying there's a huge double standard against men and if Mika & Morning Joe would just apologize we could all move on to policy discussions.

Not to mention that Mika and Joe are featured in one of his new smear commercials I've seen. This attack was coordinated to boost his base's hatred of them before they all see the commercial.

Oil lobbyist apponted as a Water Safety Official
Feds asking for every state's voter info

I'd ask why in the world CNN hasn't fired that clown yet; but then I remembered the guy in charge has trump framed on his wall.

Jeffrey Lord on CNN just now was one of the worst performances from a pundit I've ever seen.

Fox News literally had a countdown clock to implementation of the Muslim Ban today.

Flynn's stooges trying to find Hillary's emails in Russia is how big of a story?

Don't worry, we have our own countdown clock for when Mueller pulls Fox and Hannity into the probe like he did with Alex Jones and Roger Stone.

They should have dropped a giant ball and had Sheriff Clarke play the role of Dick Clark.

Can we all pool our money and pay a reporter the next time Trump takes questions publicly to just stand up and ask 'Why are you such a stupid ****?' Or something of the like. Or maybe we can get Macron to do it on Bastille day.

Cue up Alan Derphowitz saying that, by law, the President's attacks cannot be misogynistic.

That aside, and in general: if modern America and the modern Republican Party with Trump and Fox News at the lead has taught you anything, it's that you should be very, very skeptical about your average right-wingers virtue signaling.

And from there: remember that when a vast majority of right-wingers fume about people cheating the system, and the lazy abusing the welfare state -- they mean black people. Almost exclusively. Sometimes the Venn diagram extends out to other brown people. When they say they can't stand undeserving types, or people cheating the system, or lazy asses leaching -- they mean black people. Cheating or not. Usually you talk to these people long enough and they'll eventually spitball a theory all black people are cheating the system by default, so that being black and cheating the system are basically the same thing. They are triggered specifically by the idea blacks, brown people, and other non-whites are cheating the system and getting things. You can test for this in a myriad of ways but the simplest is simply to take the same people and ask them about affirmative action and see how many get fuming about the exact same things in the exact same ways. Or talk about welfare for 'rural farmers' as opposed to recipients in 'inner cities.' Or any other number of ways right-wingers talk about this in the myriad of coded ways.

I do not mean to indict your relatives but simply recommend you guys get your hackles up and remember most of the people you're talking about aren't actually outraged by people cheating the system. They probably know in their guts that is rare or at least is solvable. They have calculated that fuming about welfare 'cheating' while it may make them look stupid is at least politically acceptable, touches on some shared norms about fairness and good governance. They are not going to tell you what they really think, what they are really opposed to, so you can't take this stuff at face value.
I think the extent to which they are aware of this varies. I'm convinced a lot of these guys would never think of themselves as racist. I think if they dealt with black people IRL they would treat them normally. This stuff operates at a level below awareness for some people. They just for whatever reason, unclear to them, have more empathic feels for rural whites in trouble than the "urban poor" who are probably all into crime and doing the drugs. They're feel players, don't ask them to explain their reads.

Don't get me wrong, there are also a lot of flat out, conscious racists.

I know it's very common parlance to put all Christians into the same box, but as a Catholic I understand that the evangelicals are out for us too.

Oh no, the people I deal with will actually tell you that the problem in America is "people stealing from the system," then they'll go on to tell you about how they came up with this ingenious plan to defraud Social Security. They are literally stealing welfare dollars and then blaming black Americans for their own behavior, which they see as their god-given birthright as white Americans.
