Let's not forget some of today's (off camera, delayed audio) WH briefing doozies...

Reporter: The President's tweet on Friday shows that he finally accepts the Russians interfered in the 2016 election. Does that mean what it says?
Sean: His tweet makes it clear that he still stands by his January statement that it could have been Russia, or other countries, that did it.

Reporter: What other countries? Has he ever mentioned another country, or is there any evidence besides Russia?
Sean: You know we can't talk about classified info like evidence.

Reporter: So the President says it was probably Russia. Does he acknowledge that they intervened to help him win, or help Hillary Clinton lose?
Sean: We've never spoken about that.

Reporter: Why are there only going to be speeches in the Rose Garden today for the meeting with PM Modi? It's a long standing custom that our press asks 2 things and the other country's press asks 2 things. Whose decision was that?
Sean: Well, the President and PM Modi had a robust discussion about that during their meeting earlier and they mutually decided not to take questions.

Those weren't even the dooziest doozies. There were plenty of others for health care, SC ruling, no cameras allowed, etc. and they all got the same cold shoulder. Also, right after the briefing, CNN's Jim Acosta reported that with 1 or 2 minor exceptions, they've been blackballed for almost 2 weeks now. Same for some other (MSM) networks he said. Fox and right wingers get questions every day. This began when they first started blocking cameras.

That is insane.

Nice. That's nice.

He's called that and even raised on a total bluff. He demanded an apology from Obama.

Of course he is. Trump's criticisms of others are always what people are saying about him.
06-26-2017 , 05:12 PM
He also said Obama was colluding against Hillary with Putin.
06-26-2017 , 05:15 PM
Oh yeah...

Reporter: What specific actions has the President taken to prevent Russia from interfering in future elections?
Sean: He did the cybersecurity Executive Order last month.

That's it. All those specific things from long before he admitted (last Friday) that Russia did it.
06-26-2017 , 05:32 PM
They complain that the press is only there to ask "gotcha" questions. IMO, they often let him off the hook.

Where are the references to campaign promises?

"President Trump repeatedly said that he wasn't going to cut Medicaid. Why is he cutting $800 BILLION from the people who need it, and putting that same amount into the pockets of the richest of the rich?"

"The President campaigned on transparency, but has only taken many steps to reduce it. What has he done to be more transparent?"

Instead of this bull****:

Reporter: If the President didn't know about Russia's hacking, why did he call for them to hack Hillary's emails?
Sean: He was joking at the time. We all know that.
Reporter: But then he went on to call for WikiLeaks several times after that...
Sean: All jokes.

What's that Narcissist's Prayer thing again? EDIT: Ah, here:

It's not really that black-and-white. Cases take years to reach the Court, Roberts and Gorsuch may go stare decisis on some prior rulings they'd otherwise be ideologically against, and most of the stuff SCOTUS does has little effect on everyday life, anyway. Don't sweat it that much. Conservatives have been talking about stacking the court in order to turn America into a right-wing playground for 50 years, and all they've done is lose, constantly.

California's tax contributions go a long way towards allowing miserable red states like Mississippi to continue to exist. Blue states pour, red states drain.

Also, I imagine if CA seceded, their 55 electoral votes would vanish, not be split up, because that 55 represent the numbers of Congressional politicians (53+2), and those offices clearly wouldn't exist. anymore Ergo, it wouldn't be 538 total, 270 to win anymore, but now 483 total, 242 to win.

Curiously, the last four times (Clinton, Clinton, Obama, Obama) a Democrat won the Presidential Election, they'd have done so even if they'd lost CA.

Change "New York City" to include Nassau and Westchester Counties, but exclude Staten Island, and we've got something.

New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware are salvageable, too.

BTW, before anybody holds me to it, those Spicey rants were courtesy of Paraphrase Inc. from memory of an audio only briefing. Rest assured, the meaning of it is there.

Yeah, CNN has been extra nice to Trump all day. If Rachel & Lawrence normalize this bastard later on, I call ****ing phooey on the whole thing and WILL demand answers.

white house says the cbo has a tarnished reputation and therefore their published findings are not to be trusted

NJ and DE have some red spots but there's no ****ing way they're getting left behind in any kind of secession. They're the top 2 as far as getting the worst returns for Federal tax contributions now, fairly high % of educated, pro gun control etc.

Have CA and others leaving and it's a mortal lock

You know Putin will get the last laugh, right?

After Kislyak gets back and Russia fakes his death until the word reaches our reputable media, he resurfaces in the US causing everyone in the world to fully distrust the fake news press.

To twist the knife even more, they give Trump the real story so he can leak it to Fox.

Why would I go home and spend money I don't have to treat my preexisting condition when I can stay in Europe and enjoy single-payer healthcare available to everyone?

Gorsuch signaled that not only would he ignore Obergefell precedent, he might even overturn it. He's already pushing Thomas and Alito for WOAT status in our lifetime

The passing of this bill will destroy whatever was left of democracy.

The Democratic Party will be nothing more than the token minority party that provides the illusion of a democratic government similar to Russia's Liberal Democratic Party when in reality, we have become a one-party state.
