I have no idea WTF you are talking about. You going to the David S school of LSAT or something?

America is like a cautionary tale of what happens when you get rid of a decent public broadcaster who reports news. Note to self to zealously defend the ABC.

You know what huge talking point Trump doesn't realize he's admitting now? That Russia wasn't an excuse for Dems being bitter over an election loss.

LIAR LIAR LIAR!

The only things that make any sense at all are 1) Trump is a tremendous moron, and/or 2) Guilty of assisting Russia, and/or 3) Insanity plea setup.

We still have decent semi-public broadcast news. Few people listen to the radio version and absolutely nobody watches the TV version, but it is there for those who want it.

Not enough people want it. That's the point. There's nothing sacred about the news anymore. It's a TV show. Like "Jeopardy" is a show, and "Law and Order" is a show. The news is a show. It's there to draw ratings. And unfortunately, cable channels have learned that it's fine to slant stories. Same applies to all of these so-called news websites. People want their stories slanted. Down the middle reporting is boring. And to a great extent, that is why we are where we are today.

Also lol @ "I learned from the post." There's 0 chance he read that entire article.
Just heard it again on CNN and you're right, someone either told him or read it to him or something lol. He also didn't say "WaPo" by name.

"Well I just learned today for the first time that Obama knew..." then some combination of Russia, election, and hacking. The actual Fox interview should be posted ITT today or tomorrow.

All I know is he keeps digging his hole deeper.

I don't know. If you just take the idea of people being murdered by a new healthcare bill and sensationalize it up it can be effective. It worked once.

Tens of millions of people think healthcare coverage was better pre-ACA.

To date I've been the strongest opponent of Trump is playing 4D chess school. However, I'm really starting to change my mind. I still strongly believe Trump is among the dumbest political leaders in history but the people around him are not. He is basically meaningless and the brainless puppet.

His presidency is so closely following the "what-a-boutism" model created by Putin it simply cannot be coincidental.

People act like his tweets and statements are meant to convey information but in fact they are meant to do the exact opposite. Every tweet and every public statement, by him and his surrogates, is meant to obscure information.

I really should have said something yesterday, but that entire conversation about MSN not covering Trumpcare was based on bull****. ONE poster said he quickly flipped through the channels and didn't see healthcare talked about.

The truth is, both CNN and MSNBC covered it pretty well. I had the TV on for most of the day and paid attention to each channel for a few hours. Health care was probably around 40% of the total programming on both Thursday and Friday. I saw a little Fox too. Nothing at all there, but my sample size was tiny.

Anyway, not trying to be an apologist for the media. Just wanted to set the record straight.

Some terrifying **** going on in the Ukraine right now. Did anyone see reports of what Russia is doing to cyberbully that entire country? Power grid, healthcare system, elections (but those are easy for them by now). It's being called a cyberwar testing ground for the US. *Gulp*

Not that I'm asking the Russians to interfere with our power, but a power grid scare could really get the solar+battery backup market rolling.

Until Russia blocks out the sun and throws us into another ice age.

Are the people who say Obamacare took their healthcare away lying?

But a 5 year old can play the 'What about...' game. This is when Mom corrects said 5 year old.

Can it really be this grand political gesture if a child can do it?

Not saying he shouldn't have done something, but it could have backfired. I can't even imagine the **** storm if it had happened. Remember they're the people who **** on Obama for wearing a tan suit, or using a specific mustard. Now imagine he actually did something to sink their presidential candidate?

But yeah you can't let something like that happen. I wouldn't mind the angle of just letting Trump hang himself if it wasn't for the AHCA. If Obama knew the Russian stuff was true, Trump hanging himself is way better for the democratic party and the USA than if Obama had stepped in and done something that would have torn this country in half even more with the crazy right losing their minds.
I certainly agree that Obama comes off looking bad in the WaPo story, but the correct course surely seems clearer in hindsight than it did at the time.

I don't think Obama refrained from stronger action because he was worried that Republicans were going to call him mean names. Any black man who runs for President as a Democrat has thick skin. Nor do I think that he was mainly motivated by some innate sense of fair play.

I think he wanted Hillary to enter the presidency in as strong a position as possible and thought a relatively low key response was the right way to achieve that goal. In other words, I think he was trying to be pragmatic. The error was that he badly misjudged the likelihood of Trump winning. He made the same mistake we all made.

Yes it can. All your point illustrates is how dumb people are, on average.

If Trump is playing 4D chess, then so is your average 80 year old white Republican.

Anderson Cooper is from a famously wealthy family. Rachel Maddow did odd jobs to support herself and wrote a thesis on AIDS treatment in prisons. I'm pretty sure she understands the problems of lower and middle class people. She didn't start making real money until well past 30 y/o. Your comment is pretty much a false ad hominem, raised to explain an incorrect observation.

Spicer voice...

"What the president is trying to point out here is the hypocrisy of the Democratic party to claim the Russian thing was a big deal, while doing nothing about it. Nothing for their own party, and nothing for the country. That's because there's nothing there, there's no Russian thing."

Press... "But Sean, didn't the President admit there was Russian meddling in his tweet?"

"I think we all know that the tweets speak for themselves."

JFC, absolutely shameless. I hope everyone involved with this wretched administration either dies in prison or homeless and penniless.
