There's a Trumpian tactic that seems pretty effective - say something disputable or controversial and follow it up with "you know that" or "everybody knows that". He's daring you to challenge it, and if you don't immediately push back, it could be seen as endorsing the point.

Sekulow did it in the clip above: "John Dowd is a legal legend, you know that." I have no idea who the **** John Dowd is, but I guess even Chris Wallace doesn't dispute that Trump is hiring the best people!

Trump did it with Lester Holt: "The FBI has been in turmoil. You know that, I know that, everybody knows that."

I feel like I could find numerous examples of Conway doing this if I tried, and probably Spicer as well.

Maybe they've been doing this forever, but I feel like this is a new and slightly unnerving aspect of the gaslight administration.

More of a legal issue. Legal issues are abjudicated in a court of law. The lawsuits will undergo the legal process. Glad I could help.

Nothing was resolved. ZERO. Now there are just a bunch of off limit topics, negatively affecting the both of us, that we have to tiptoe around to avoid all sorts of conflict, and that list of topics is steadily growing.

Id just not talk politics if there was going to be fighting over them to that point. Or if you do never start the conversation and be careful and thoughtful in how you are critical when she does. Family... At lest i only have to deal with it at work.

Did I say that was the crime they will be getting in trouble for? You're being naive if you think the corruption stops there for GOP members of Congress. An obstruction case alone could nab dozens, or more.

Like look at adios. He's not worried, he's not sweating this. He's been around for a while, he understands what our "legal system" is set up to do. In a situation like this, it's designed to protect the powerful. That's why he keeps referring back to the legal system, saying we should wait on it, etc. People do the same thing in murder trials for cops. These people understand what our system is set up to do, and it's not to bring justice.

How do you think your Fox News loving relatives are going to react when Ryan refuses to bring recommended impeachment charges? They're gonna get really angry and demand justice, right? Or maybe they decide that Mueller and Comey are the real criminals that need to be investigated, and thank goodness Paul Ryan is there to stand up for Trump and do what's right for this dear nation.
