The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

I went 18 months without speaking to my parents. Wasn't over politics, but best decision of my life.

Sekulow did it in the clip above: "John Dowd is a legal legend, you know that." I have no idea who the **** John Dowd is, but I guess even Chris Wallace doesn't dispute that Trump is hiring the best people!

Trump did it with Lester Holt: "The FBI has been in turmoil. You know that, I know that, everybody knows that."

I feel like I could find numerous examples of Conway doing this if I tried, and probably Spicer as well.

Maybe they've been doing this forever, but I feel like this is a new and slightly unnerving aspect of the gaslight administration.
You mean like this:

It's not disputable.

More of a legal issue. Legal issues are abjudicated in a court of law. The lawsuits will undergo the legal process. Glad I could help.

Now for the dark cloud to this silver lining...

Nothing was resolved. ZERO. Now there are just a bunch of off limit topics, negatively affecting the both of us, that we have to tiptoe around to avoid all sorts of conflict, and that list of topics is steadily growing.
Id just not talk politics if there was going to be fighting over them to that point. Or if you do never start the conversation and be careful and thoughtful in how you are critical when she does. Family... At lest i only have to deal with it at work.

Keep this in mind: The harder Trump gets squeezed, the more he pushes the responsibility onto the people around him.

It should be a fun year going forward.
Um, huh? "Refusing to bring recommended impeachment charges" is not a crime.

You do understand that the law reflects what we as a society want to be prohibited or allowed for moral reasons?
06-18-2017 , 04:52 PM
keep in mind adios is at the top of the spectrum for trump supporters

I don't believe we as a society want rape and murder allowed for people in power/celebs.

Did I say that was the crime they will be getting in trouble for? You're being naive if you think the corruption stops there for GOP members of Congress. An obstruction case alone could nab dozens, or more.
06-18-2017 , 05:01 PM
So you think Jeff Sessions is going to bring forward obstruction charges against Republican Congressmembers?

If only there were some line between "politics" and "real life" that President Trump isn't eroding by the week. And this is WITHOUT any GOP agenda going forward.

Even if that insanely unlikely event were to happen, Trump could simply pardon any of them with a single tweet.

LOL, he's one of the first Mueller will be checking out. In both investigations.
06-18-2017 , 05:05 PM
So Mueller gets some Deputy AG to bring obstruction charges against Sessions. Easy, Trump just pardons Sessions. Now what?

If Trump and everyone around him were as invulnerable as you say, they would be doing a lot worse. Right now they're limited and they know it.

Our legal system wasn't designed to handle a President and two houses of Congress that are completely committed to crippling our democracy and turning our country into a hostile minority regime.
06-18-2017 , 05:17 PM
Trump didn't comment on the dead sailors yet, as someone pointed out.

Has he commented on the Syrian plane we just shot down?
06-18-2017 , 05:17 PM
Like look at adios. He's not worried, he's not sweating this. He's been around for a while, he understands what our "legal system" is set up to do. In a situation like this, it's designed to protect the powerful. That's why he keeps referring back to the legal system, saying we should wait on it, etc. People do the same thing in murder trials for cops. These people understand what our system is set up to do, and it's not to bring justice.
06-18-2017 , 05:28 PM
Look, if the law were irrelevant we would have a Muslim travel ban right now.

That said, anybody rooting for Trump to crush democracy needs to go **** their treasonous self and move some place they would enjoy, like Russia.
06-18-2017 , 05:40 PM
How do you think your Fox News loving relatives are going to react when Ryan refuses to bring recommended impeachment charges? They're gonna get really angry and demand justice, right? Or maybe they decide that Mueller and Comey are the real criminals that need to be investigated, and thank goodness Paul Ryan is there to stand up for Trump and do what's right for this dear nation.
