The worse Trump gets, the more indefensible he becomes, the bigger and more consequential and more frequent the lies of anyone around him are. I'm not sure what Fox (and friends) will do in the near future when Trump's each and every lying statement is criminal in nature. Not just most of them like now, but all public statements. Because he painted himself into a lot of corners. Will these folks follow him into the depths of legal hell, or will they finally have had enough of his bull**** and submit to Pence, abandoning the current charade?

Yup. I've actually been told by at least 3 Trumpkins that the biggest reason they voted for Trump was...get...this, because he will keep America from losing its white majority in 20xx (the exact year varied based on the level of BS they were spoon fed).

2 of them admitted that the rest of what he does makes no difference. Even crimes are acceptable, as long as the browns don't take over.

I dont think its possible. In this world the best thing people can do is probably to accept that people are different and thus preach for tolerance and moderation so we dont have to deal with too much violence. I dont think we can do much better than that.

To us left wingers morals is to a very large degree about empathy, but morals is much more than that for other groups of people. Our moral systems can be centered around autonomy as for us left wingers, or around community or divinity (these are futher broken down of course). Everyone responds to all of these dimensions, the big difference is how they are emphasized. Further, its not written in the skies that emphasizing one specific system is "correct", these are just things that evolved in our brains so we could coexist and cooperate. Realizing this i think should let some people take a step back and relax on their shouting a bit.

Here in the Midwest, Muslims taking over the majority is a common theme. I can't avoid it. I go out about 10% as often as I did before the election unless I'm traveling somewhere else.
