Actually it's been widely reported that Mueller's staff is, and always are, very tight lipped and that he has explicitly threatened them. Can't stop people who receive subpoenas from leaking, however. I'd be surprised if we know 40% of what's going on with the investigation.

Something is going on with the Navy. There was a story they were searching for a lost sailor for 7 days before they found him, alive, on the ship he was missing from.

This could be one issue.

They could at least exile everyone to the foreign lands like Canada (if they would take us...) instead off killing their mostly unarmed enemies with their muskets.

I choose my side to be the one against Joe Walsh. Hopefully there are much more than 2 sides in this war.

I see it on his timeline. It's not even the worst one today.

So we have all these leaks happening with the Mueller investigation and why is this happening?

1. Mueller is running a shoddy investigation where he can't control the leaks.
or
2. Mueller is fine with the leaks and is using them to pursue an agenda that he has.
or
3. There are really very few leaks. The daily WaPo updates on the progress of the investigation are actually what you'd expect even though their sources aren't going on the record. WaPo isn't really getting a scoop on this.
or
4. The anonymous sources are bogus.

I think the answer is behind door number 2.
How can you possibly know how much leaked and how much didn't? Unless you are on the inside of Mueller's investigation, in which case...

STFU AND STOP LEAKING!

I live in northern Florida near Gainesville. At least once every few months when I go shopping, I have a nice postcard waiting for me under my windshield wipers. Coupons to the local pizzeria? Nope. An open book session at the local library? Nope. An invitation to join the KKK? Why yes, that is correct! Though to be honest, I'm quite befuddled as to why they can't show their faces in public and speak to me face to face. But hey, the next time it happens, I'll just chuckle to myself and say "Silly me! Dagger9 is right. White supremacy isn't a problem." and I'll crumple up the postcard and ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

The odds of fading one is much higher since hardcore racists are less likely to be chosen since a certain percentage of them could be identified during the jury selection

I heard this on the radio, so no link, but if you think there's anything real at all to Trump's infrastructure plan, think again. Supposedly includes $200 billion of funds for infrastructure, but there are $206 billion in other cuts. The rest of the $1 trillion he's talked about obviously comes from selling public assets to private industry.

I just got through a major blowout with my mom. It all started when the TV in the other room said Trump was under investigation for obstruction and she told me they need to stop criticizing him for every little thing he does. Some takeaways:

1) She flat out faulted me for "learning too much" and not living a happy-go-lucky life that ignores things we don't like to hear. "politics shouldn't affect you so much"* she said.

2) I was told that we need to "start ignoring a lot of what the president says and does" and "the bigger person knows when to let things go" after I pointed out to her that he's doing everything to himself and his WH staff. She also told me all the potential faults of Twitter and Trump's interviewers.

3) Trump has to resort to the tactics we're seeing in order to combat all the "mess left to him by Hillary and Obama" over the years.

4) He needs to be left alone to pursue his agenda. I asked her about healthcare and she said not that, but other items. I asked her about the budget, tax reform, infrastructure, and was told "Yes, exactly, like those policies. What's in them again?"

5) I told her how his actions as president are negatively affecting me now, on top of her too, and the large majority of the county. She said "sometimes we have to sacrifice to help others" from time to time. Yeah, the poor and middle class need to sacrifice their health and basic necessities so Trump can have more money and more power? "That's not happening though. Feel free to complain IF it does. Right now, he knows what he's doing and you're just being selfish."

*I tried to explain my increasing fear of how Trump has been taking the realm of politics and unpoliticizing it, to the point that it's greatly affecting everyday life. The two are becoming so incredibly intertwined by Trump's rhetoric that, when it comes to divisiveness between good fiends and family members, we ain't seen nothing yet.

It was a pretty big argument. At the end she said it was the worst visit we've had in a long time. I tried to tell her she's throwing her own family under the bus to defend values of a monster who shares none of the values she stood for over 75 years of Catholicism. Bottom line, I'm being "wholly disrespectful for calling the PRESIDENT a 'monster' or any other bad name."

I'm honestly not sure where really religious people stand when Trump is largely at odds with their long & deeply held religious beliefs. All I know is both of them come before her son. What then, does that make her?
Broken pony and all that, but I just read this this morning and found it quite affecting. Thanks for posting so candidly and I hope things work out OK in the end.

The Dow Jones doesn't care about ethics and Trump did already fire an investigator. What is different?

Tell the crooks you are onto them and watch them while they try to cover up all the things you didn't even know about yet. Seems like a decent strategy to catch amateurs like Trump´s team.

Poker analogies in threads are like flopping top set and getting coolered with a runner runner flush.

No way dude. It's more like Crooked H flopped the nut flush and Trump had top pair and hit runner runner full house. So sick. Gg America.

In the poker game of forum posting, poker analogies are the rake.

I actually just played poker at the casino and lost with AA to A9o. It felt exactly like when it became clear that Hillary's turnout in Florida was not going to be sufficient.

Trump's presidency is just like poker to me because both make me want to stick a pencil through my earhole.
