not only has trump failed as of yet to deliver on "tax reform", he's making it less and less likely to happen with every passing day.

Trumpkins will probably take this as a sign that he's doing his job at taking on big corporations or something.

One of Trump's early judicial nominees (which should be among the less controversial) had a right wing blog that cited right wing sites to support birther claims. Man, there is really going to be a 4 year "lost generation" in the courts.

Interesting vid of questioning from Franken and the nominee's spinelessness when exposed.

Well, Bob Mueller is investigating him for obstruction of justice, which sounds a bit criminal.

The trouble is that, although the president obviously ought to be civilly and criminally liable, the constitution is treated as the Holy Koran and because the Holy Koran doesn't actually say that the president is liable to anything but political impeachment, people think that's how it works.

The founders foresaw this obvious problem with the constitution, but only in regard to whether rights not named in the constitution would be held to exist in law, and they failed to do anything about any of it.

Jesus, is this guy going to get confirmed? Not that any level of deplorableness can surprise me from Republicans but like, really, they'll vote for this guy?

He just does stuff for his own amusement sometimes. Like I'm not releasing the tax returns because nobody will do a damn thing about it. Ie, as a power trip for kicks and giggles.

Also, could be things listed he doesn't want people to know but aren't illegal in that sense--seems unlikely this group of cronies would put the illegal **** on there. Could simply be someone will eventually figure out X isn't on there that's supposed to be or whatever. It's trump, so you gotta assume simple stupid stuff rather than OMG WE GOT HIM BY THE BALLS.

Not defending the behavior; but my god people seem to think it's gonna be a bunch of illegal **** line itemed. Remember the maddow report and all that did was make most people here deservedly look like complete fools.

I figure the most likely scenario here is he cheated on his taxes and that's all anyone's gonna figure out from them.

Well sure, because he didn't actually say that blacks are inferior to whites, he just reposted someone else saying it. So you know, all good.

I've harped on this a few times, but here's a good overview of Mueller's dream team. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...es-rhee-zebley

BTW, all that stuff about one of the lawyers being a major dem donor. Turns out it was another guy with the same name (different middle initial though).

How did it make anyone look like fools?

Like is there something wrong with wanting to see the tax returns of someone running for President with Trump's record of corruption and dishonesty?

The way they see it, anyone who isn't Jones/Limbaugh/Hannity/O'Reilly are all by default left/Democrat mouthpieces, as part of the filthy mainstream media.
The insane **** that comes out of those guys is seen as bravery standing up to all the rest of the media that's biased toward the left.

Tax returns are unlikely to directly show either.

We also learned he would have paid a whopping 3% without the AMT. Which he campaigned on getting rid of.

They show if he's drawing a salary from 'Destroy America LLP' or something. That's reason enough.

Did you ever think it might be because you're ****ing President?

If any of you Americans wish to visit Cuba, you might want to plan your trip soon. Trump will reportedly announce new restrictions on Friday, will probably be effective within 90 days.

Left wingers (outside of the anti vax crew) tend to have a tough time lying directly to people in order to profit. It's why you don't see a ton of left wing mega church pastors
06-15-2017 , 04:00 PM
I believe Jim Jones had a more left-ist political philosophy.

I think it's more that left wingers are a less receptive audience for political lying so it's not as profitable more than any kind of morals against feeding people horse**** for profit. I'd be willing to bet the majority of health "supplements" are sold to left wing people, for example.

Interesting that you mention that. Weird vitamins and supplements are Alex Jones' main advertising sponsors. In a way he's like a literal modern day snake oil salesman.

Trump is the president and has the authority to tell the justice department to investigate, so why hasn't he? Why complain about it on Twitter as if he is powerless.

Oh yeah, maybe it's because an investigation was completed with nothing found and doing so now only to find nothing again would make him look like a fool and these tweets some purpose is to rile up his base and have nothing to do with finding justice of any kind.
