Are there Waffle Houses in Ohio now? That would move the state up a few notches in the power rankings.

Not a single Republican has an ounce of morality. They leave Trump only when his base does which is never ever under any circumstances no matter what Trump does. All that matters is supporting your team. Nothing else.

Astoundingly some of you think Trump will do "something" that will cause either his base of republicans to stop supporting him. This in the face of all the evidence to the contrary.

Firing Mueller seems +EV for Trump. Congress will do nothing. He's already set the tone by firing Comey. I legitimately think I would fire Mueller if I was in Trump's shoes, and then just bomb Syria or something. It seems too easy.

He will tweet at some point that Mueller's services aren't required because Comey exonerated him.

And many will be content to watch Trump erode the norms in such a way that tightens their grip on power. If for instance Trump bucks the courts on the Muslim ban, who in the GOP will percieve benefit in standing up to him against the will of nearly every person who voted for them? Ecriture is on the side of the GOP will come around if it gets too bad, but he's wrong. Count me on Team Brick.
It gets back to what Fly et al routinely point out, the Republican base and their elected officials do not care about any norms or laws for that matter that get in the way of keeping power, making more money, and subverting minorities. There is no "going to far" for these people. That is a concept that only means something to people who appreciate the rule of law and **** like equal protection.

It said "Trump" and then "clever" soon after, which made it a little difficult to trust the rest of it.

we all know this fire Mueller thing is fake news, right? It's just Chris Ruddy trial ballooning for his team.

But in case you need some hot fire in your life, there are tweetstorms:

Amazingly Dennis rodman is way more experienced on foreign policy than trump and probably would have been more competent president.

I say this all with no hyperbole and fully understanding the breadth and depth of Rodman's character and capabilities.

Gallup numbers are 59/36.

59 seems to be tied for peak disapproval.

So, we have to go to bed tonight afraid for our democracy because Trump can't handle the ramped up pressure of a ramped up Senate Intel Committee ramped up Sessions' ass?

Seriously, the SIC is doing amazing work since getting stonewalled last Wednesday. They had that briefing, with NSA Rogers, DNI Coats, FBI McCabe, and DOJ Rosenstein. Then Comey was on Thursday, public in the morning and private in the afternoon. Then I don't remember Friday. Today was a long afternoon meeting with Obama's Head of Homeland Security, and a private briefing tonight (yes, they worked late) with NSA Rogers. Tomorrow afternoon is Sessions in the open.

For anyone who forgot, NSA Mike Rogers is one of the two IC heads who refused to answer a question for hours during their hearing last Weds. There were reports of him and DNI Coats being asked by Trump to downplay the investigation(s) by putting out false statements to the public. That's the subject they wouldn't deny, or talk about in an open hearing. Well, tonight's hearing was closed.

So yeah, dangerous night of not sleeping for the Pres.

From what I know of her background (appointed to positions by both GWB and BHO admins), I believe she resigns as well. After her I think you start hitting career beaurocrats and civil servants all of whom almost certainly resign. So the interesting questions are what Wall does and whether Sessions makes the nuclear decision to "unrecuse." Could make the Saturday Night Massacre look like nothing in comparison.

Edit: I have solictor general and associate attorney general reversed in the line of succession here, it'll be Brand, who I really really think refuses the order, followed by Wall.
I believe the regulation Mueller was hired under can be unilaterally changed via executive order. So trump can bypass the massacre by signing an EO and giving his favorite catch phrase himself.
