Why not? The head of the DOJ has argued that he can perjure and reperjure and recuse and unrecuse himself at will, so why not? They argue that the POTUS can obstruct justice, intimidate witnesses, throw out threats, and accuse or investigate top federal people of top federal crimes without evidence, for any reason whatsoever, as long as it's a reason.

But I've YET to hear ANY argument (good or bad) for why 80% of the WORLD outside the US can see right through his bull**** too. Or why they are after him too.

Given that Fox hasn't told them how to think about this issue yet, I challenge ONE Trumpkin to attempt to explain it. There's only one explanation that makes sense: Donald Trump actually IS what Trumpkins have been denying he is.

Trumpkin would say the RotW are intimidated by a POTUS who'd put Murika first.

But he didn't say that, or anything else. That's a big part of my point.

When you strip the con away from his talking points, he's left speechless.

I find it hard to believe that Kushner, et al, have actual clearances to begin with. That seems like something the Trump admin would completely ignore. If Kushner gets his revoked he will still stay on as part of the admin. Do Eric and Don Jr have clearances? They shouldn't right because they are suppose to be running the Trump org. I'm sure they know all kinds of **** they shouldn't.

The problem is the president has the power to summarily declassify anything or share classified information with anyone he wants. So he could tell his other kids every piece of classified information he has to help the business and it wouldn't violate any laws concerning release of classified data.

No chance they pay any attention to clearances.

Meh I'm wrong.
Imma unilaterally declare that her ratings are a result of her riding the anti-Trump wave that has pushed a lot of viewers to MSNBC, not because she's particularly good (she isn't). A lot of people just put on MSNBC when they come in from work and just leave it there and she's benefiting from that. MSNBC has fired people who are better than her.

If they had any sense (they don't) they'd snap up Reza Aslan since he was fired from CNN for saying Mean Things about Trump on Twitter but they won't because they have no sense. Also Andy Lack wants to turn it into CNN because why the hell not?

...
The Associated Press reported in March that Manafort “secretly worked for” Deripaska as far back as 2006 to influence politics and business dealings inside the United States to benefit Putin’s government. Manafort signed a $10 million annual contract beginning in 2006 and maintained a business relationship until at least 2009, the AP reported.
...
On Tuesday, Deripaska’s company, Veleron, lost an appeal in federal court in Manhattan in its lawsuit against Morgan Stanley in a complex financial case involving a dispute over a loan on which Veleron defaulted during the height of the Great Recession. Kasowitz was scheduled to deliver oral arguments in the appeal last month. It’s not clear whether Kasowitz will continue to represent Veleron.

Records in the case reinforce Deripaska’s close ties to Putin. When Deripaska’s company ran into financial trouble in 2008 and needed to put up more collateral to cover some its liabilities, Deripaska put in a call to Putin, who authorized the state-run Vnesheconombank, or VEB, to offer his firm a bailout, Deripaska acknowledged in court records.

In 2008, Forbes magazine listed Deripaska as the ninth-richest man in the world. In 2006, the United States revoked his visa to enter the country, citing possible ties to organized crime.
Countdown to Deripaska getting his visa reinstated? And I'd wager just in time for him to take some rooms at a Trump property.

It's moot, if the President wants them to have clearances, they will. He has the ultimate authority.

In an ordinary world of course a President wouldn't be willing to take a political hit for giving a clearance to someone who was shown to be compromised by the Russians, but for Trump and his voters apparently that's a feature.

How will anyone know for sure if Kushner had his security clearance revoked? Is that public knowledge?

Because ultimately MSNBC and CNN have many of the same interests. Drumming up ratings, keeping advertisers happy, and not being too hard on capitalism/the owning class. That's not to say there aren't some good journalists on MSNBC, but overall the network doesn't have our best interests in mind, just like CNN.

I think public knowledge is probably harder to come by than White House secrets, when it comes to this administration.

Or when it happened or whether it was just downgraded. He couldn't just carry on as though nothing happened though. Well, unless evevryone in the WH is just a Trump zombie now.

Yanking his clearance seems like such a tick-tacky thing. Surely these million dollar dream team lawyer guys have bigger things on their plate, like lighting up Jeff Sessions and pursuing obstruction of justice charges on Poppa Trump.

A POST FOR TRUMP SUPPORTERS

Anyone is welcome to reply though. I just wanted to put Trump's lies into perspective by showing examples of his absolutist behavior. These are things he has always done the same way, or with frequent regularity as POTUS (and throughout much of the campaign):

1) NO admissions of mistakes, or acceptance of blame in any way, shape or form. Many mistakes and many factual errors have taken place however.

2) NO words or actions against Russia or Putin. Both Russia and Putin have been aggressive with us in many ways that Trump should be addressing, from attacking elections, to buzzing ships/planes to violating treaties, to openly threatening the US. The strong leader Trump has let it all pass without saying a word, while holding most allies accountable for the the most petty of offenses.

3. Massively Hypocritical Behavior. This is most evident on tweets from 2015 and 2016. Nearly everything Trump complained intensely about others doing over years or decades, he has outdone to a greater degree in only 4.5 months.

4. The POTUS claims that his critics are always fake or wrong, and his defenders are always true or right. This is clearly way off factually.

It should be noted that the above lies have no bounds, and have been applied indiscriminately over a large variety of situations. Whether you feel these are a big deal or no big deal, they only begin to scratch the surface concerning the credibility deficiency from which Trump and the people around him suffer.

If you don't believe anything written above (not sure how, but whatever) a good exercise is to fact check Trump's speeches, comments, and WH statements...especially over the last 3-4 weeks. You'd be shocked.

Arguing with Trump supporters using "facts" and "rationale" is pointless.

I don't know what will happen but I hope you win the bet.

Difficult to envision a scenario where Trump is president and Kushner doesn't have a security clearance unless Trump schemes so he can console Ivanka.
