i think this is probably incorrect. while pence would probably do less in the way of overtly or directly damaging relationships with our allies (and that's a questionable premise to begin with), the guy literally believes in and wishes for armageddon. the tough talk wrt the middle east is no coincidence.

that's 100% the republican agenda. bet your ass that pence would be more discrete/subtle and effective about implementing it.

Why post like it's 50/50, one attack vs another, without considering the merits?

1) Dems ARE people, obv. 2) Trump IS a fascist.

It's not just "equal name calling" when one side is 0 for 2 with their stupid arguments.

I'm entirely not sure why you didn't notice this before posting.

Leave the bots alone imo

Should be Christopher Robin. He gets the Pooh seal of approval.

That's epic. Kansas overriding Brownnack's veto. 2/3 supermajority said enough.

What times are the public sessions today and tomorrow?

You know you are one of the tunnel-visioned one-siders when you can not even see that both sides are engaged in the scorched earth demonization of the other side.

Talk to people in the middle, the ones who see and understand the excesses of both sides, you know, all those swing voters out there, they are more perceptive than you may think.

The man privy to America's darkest intelligence secrets for the past six years has predicted Russian links to the Trump administration will dwarf the 1970s Watergate scandal which sunk the Nixon presidency.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-0...candal/8597874

"I lived through Watergate. I was on active duty then in the Air Force, I was a young officer. It was a scary time," Mr Clapper told the National Press Club in Canberra.

"I have to say though, I think if you compare the two that Watergate pales, really, in my view, compared to what we're confronting now."

by perceptive you mean false equivalence biased. The goal isn't to convince you the argument, but blur the lines so people just throw their hands up and don't know what to believe. Poco thinks it's working and WAAF.

frustrating to see people snap defending Hillary's pro slave labor stuff that's making the rounds. Too many political cultists. We all knew Hillary would be a terrible pres, but she wouldn't have had congress and she isn't stupid so we figured damage would've been less. She at least understands allies/enemies. Sheesh.

Trump probably made a deal with the Saudis and didn't tell his own WH people. Great leader we have.

My father is the sole proprietor of an LLC in Kansas and he was against these tax cuts despite them making him a ton more money than he otherwise would have the past 4 years. He is a Republican

That's good. I would think that old school mainstream Republicans would recognize how extremist the libertarian movement in Kansas is. Home of the Koch brothers. The guys who William F. Buckley called Anarcho-Totalitarians.

First paragraph: identify how poconoder is trying to distort the debate
Second paragraph: help him do it

I just showed him exactly why he was wrong, and what does he do? Quotes it, ignores it, and comes out the gate being completely wrong again.

I AM one of those people in the middle LOL. He's to just damn thick to realize anything other than vocal opponent of Trump = flip side of Trump supporter, when it's the exact opposite in reality.

Re: Pence

The question of whether Pence might be subtly worse doesn't loom large in my calculus of Trump's removal. I want Trump gone to restore some of my faith in justice and US political institutions. Pence may enact worse policies, but he has mainstream US conservative views and is a career politician, not a crook afaik. I view Pence as someone who has a wrong but sincere belief that he is making decisions for the benefit of the country, as opposed to Trump, all of whose actions are motivated by instant gratification and self aggrandizement. Perhaps naive, but it is important for me to feel that my country's institutions will not allow an incompetent cult leader like Trump to remain in charge for long.

how long is this Coats guy going to be reading off a piece of paper and wasting time?
06-07-2017 , 10:43 AM
What is the Hillary slave labor story?
06-07-2017 , 10:46 AM
Pence is infinitely better. At least we could regain our allies and live within a framework where what's real isn't completely mixed in with what's fake. We can't even begin to address anything within the current framework.
