We MUST take back local and state level offices in order to undo some of this gerrymandering and voter suppression (taking place at the state level) or we are totally screwed going forward. To my mind, Trump is just a symptom of a toxic and broken political system, he's nothing even that special. We have to fix the cause and get to the roots of the issue.
It's hard to overlook the fact that Trump isn't stable or static. He's regressing by the day. It used to be that what he said and did hurt America most of the time and hurt himself here and there. But since this weekend, he has been tweeting in ways that are damaging to his own self-interests and is doing it frequently now.
He'll hopefully be tested today with Coats and Rogers, and even moreso tomorrow when Comey comes to the plate. His reaction will be telling.
God forbid there's a crisis. We're done for.
