Doesn't the US have a big military base in Qatar? Why would Trump piss them off?

Pretty sure with everyone mad at them the last thing Qatar is going to do is ask us to leave.

Trump actually directing the narrative towards the Middle East could lead to news channels talking about it more and people understanding a bit more how ****ed up our ME policy is (and has been under both Republicans and Democrats).

So did Omarosa legally change her name or is Reality Winner a completely different person?

Unless all the talk is just beating the drum for war in Iran. Then it will lead to most people misunderstanding more about the ME.

Why does Trump's "opinion" on Qatar sync up with the opinions of the ME leaders? The same thing has been going on with Russia lately. Trump talking points and statements and Putin taking points and statements have matched up a little more than coincidence would suggest.

Can you imagine if the Brits decided to block all US media from the next royal wedding? Trump would be impeached immediately.

Good plan. I'll suggest it to Liz at her next garden party.

No idea.

There's really no way to know.

What was old is new again:

Quote:
For ourselves, we shall not trouble you with specious pretences- either of how we have a right to our empire because we overthrew the Mede, or are now attacking you because of wrong that you have done us- and make a long speech which would not be believed; and in return we hope that you, instead of thinking to influence us by saying that you did not join the Lacedaemonians, although their colonists, or that you have done us no wrong, will aim at what is feasible, holding in view the real sentiments of us both; since you know as well as we do that right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.
KSA is strong, Qatar is weak and unpronounceable. Everything else is window-dressing.

DONALD TRUMP’S WORST DEAL
The President helped build a hotel in Azerbaijan that appears to be a corrupt operation engineered by oligarchs tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.

I bet this will turn out to be the reason Preet Bharara was dismissed. 5 will get you 50 that Trump found out there was an investigation into the Baku deal under the FCPA out of that district.

Same reason he's pissing off all of our other allies, he's a ****ing ******.

Yeah there is ~no chance Trump knew we had a base in Qatar. The single greatest failing of the media in 2016 wasn't Clinton's email coverage, it was that in the entire GOP primary->general nobody ever just asked Trump simple factual questions. For whatever reason, they always had that teacher's pet questioning style where they packed a ****load of information into the question and then solicited Trump's opinion.

No! Just ask him what the difference is between Medicare and Medicaid.
06-06-2017 , 12:12 PM
They're still doing it. Why do the press briefing questions have to be in 5 parts with meandering subclauses. Spicer is going to waffle and lie his ass off anyway but why make it so we've all forgotten the original question before he even starts.

******ed, yes. But he's not set to random. I really want to see where Trump Inc has business dealings around the world, and how they match up with the US's new groups of allies and enemies.

For example, it's not consistent with the Travel Ban countries that 7 of them with no history of US attacks are excluded, while the worst offenders (like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia) were left alone. Of course, Trump Inc has dealings with Pakistan and SA, but not with the other 7 banned countries. Seems too convenient. But wait, there's more.

Another example is how Trump's affinity for dictators and human rights violations isn't universally applied. That's right, another ideology of his breaks down at the core. Surprised? I'm not. You see, Trump Inc has dealings with Erdogan, Duterte, Putin, Xi, but not with Assad from Syria or Kim Jong-Un from North Korea. Guess which countries Trump gets along with and which he doesn't? Exactly!

A list of business interests would likely provide a road map for Trump allies and enemies, and a list of Trump's allies and enemies would likely provide a road map for his business interests.

Where does Qatar land?

There is not enough popcorn in the world for the possibility of Trump live-tweeting the Comey testimony.
